Ever find a condom or other gross things in a used car?
>be working as detailer
>girl trades in old car for new car
>slow day so it ends up in my hands before she has even left
>reasonably clean already
>double check center console
>TOTALLY stuffed full of condoms (still wrapped)
>me being an ass, i decided she may want them
>go into salesmans office who is talking with her.
>plop down armfull of condoms on his desk
>she turns beat red
>casually walk away
Manager found me later because he thought it was so funny.
Was a good laugh.
I miss that job
i was selling a car for a friend and i left a used condom in it after the guy inspected it

Good lord
A certified repair shop just gave me a minimal estimate of 5k to fix up my miata. This includes tackling the rust, welding, sanding down and painting.
I really love my tiny car but I can't just put down 5k to get it to pristine condition.
As a yuropoor what is my best alternative? Pls no bully.
>>16851946
How much did you buy it for?
tbqh you shoulda bought one that was in pristine condition to begin with. Thats how this shit works.
Sell it and buy an NB miata with no rust.
t. NA owner
Fixing it piece by piece as you can afford it?
Just do the rust and welding m8.
Anyone have any unsual experiences?
When I used to drive expedite, I would sometimes see shadows in the dark along the road in the early hours of the morning. If it was a foggy morning that would be the worst, as the dark fog would move in the most strange ways with the air currents. There would be times I nearly slammed on the breaks because tentacles sprung into the road from the side, and I swerved to miss them. Luckily no one was there. Sometimes I would see phantom wrecks as well. Approaching a crest it looks like there is all these blue cop lights flashing and I think, fuck, its probably some poor guy that got killed on the road. And when I get over the top there is absolutely nothing on the road, not even other traffic.
Weird things like that.

get help
>>16851864
You need help. I don't see any shadowy figures in that picture.

Sometimes at night when I'm driving over train tracks from the corner of my eye there's always something that jumps towards my car. Freaked me out at first but stopped worrying about it after the first few times. Never could see what it was
>get off work today
>stop by gas station for a drink and some gas
>leave the car running while I go inside cos south florida
>while I'm out looking around the fridge, I hear tires peel out in the parking lot
>come out, my cars gone
>call police, report stolen
Fast forward 25 or so min
>cop calls me and says my car was found
>apparently the thief was a 19 yo black dude that the cops noticed because he was sitting in a parking lot hotboxing my car
>mfw he is looking at grand theft auto along with felony possession (over 30 grams) and another charge for intent distribute
>mfw he was on probation
>mfw the weed was mine all along
you deserve it for leaving your car running in front of a gas station
Did you get your weed back?
>>16851741
>mfw the weed was mine all along
hilarious if true
also
>leave the car running
Correct me if im wrong but in the event of a stolen vehicle, arent you unable to claim a loss on insurance if the key was in the ignition at the time of theft? I heard this somewhere but never verified it.
are there any rims that look good on a ls400 and not like a rice faggot or a rapper put them on?
the stock ones look pretty bland
>>16851670
the fact that you call them rims... you sound like a nigger yourself.
5x114.3 bolt pattern soooooo Volk Te37s would look great on it.
>>16851670
It's a bland car. They match. Anything aftermarket is shit.
>>16851670
Just get some late model LS400 "wheels" and call it a day.
The only wheels fags put on those are rice rocket shit, so idk what else you'd get.
And see what I did there, I called them "wheels" not rims, this is coming from a jiggaboo too
Thinking of getting a miata as first car
would this one be a bad decision?
https://greenville.craigslist.org/cto/6040741883.html
>>16851622
not any worse than the decision that ultimately led you to boards.4chan.org/o/
>>16851622
that would be a great decision
thats actually a great price. esp if it has no rust at all and runs well.
first thing I'd do is remove that ugly rack in the back and buy new fenders (then repaint them yellow to match the rest of the car)
its an NA6 meaning it has the 1.6 so it has the Short Nose Crank. Google it to figure out what that is.
but yeah all around it would make a perfect first car.
if you need more info check out miata.net or clubroadster as there is tons of information on those forums
Miats are good, the 1.6 can feel anemic. As a first car sure, you could probably even learn to work on it if you felt inclined, they are relatively simple and reliable
Only downside is lack of space, but if you're single (yes you are), it won't matter
Been tossing the idea of building a hotrod for a bit. Collected a big block, turbo 400, and 1/2 chevy frame.
Figured since i was going to be thrashing around in a gutted car maybe i could find some kind of cool car fro. Accross the pond. In us and i know i can find cars here. Just considering something different. The problem is most all of them that i could afford to bring over here look shitty.
Any cool muscle car or truck types?
Almost would consider a ute if it looked like this.
>>16851464
aussie here my knowledge is based around 90's holdens but i can try and answer anything mate.
What about a VU-VZ ute?
best be getting based VL commodore
Mini-Camaro, coming through
Don't ruin a perfectly fine one though, get a shell that'd be fucked otherwise
Best hot hatch if i'm new to manual but still want to go faster than 0-60 in 8 seconds?
Fiesta ST. In any case not that thing.
just get a land yacht they are way more fun
>>16851413
>slower
>Not as new
>poopy feels
>>16851386
I'm not a huge fan of the fiesta look and the RS/ST trim is so expensive.
Name me a single good car produced from 2011 onwards
>>16851357
Anything from pic related
the mercedes CL63 amg got an upgrade starting in 2011 with the engine going from a 6.2l v8 to a 5.5l biturbo v8 while still retaining heated cooled seats, steering wheel, night vision, massage seats, and no b-pillar
Pro tip: I can't.
EDM vs JDM
JDM by far
>>16851274
EDM desu
JDM if you want everything to rattle like a soda can full of loose bolts every time you hit a bump
EDM if you want to replace something every time you drive above 50mph
why would you buy anything else unless you are a filthy badgefag
>>16851207
Thats a nice looking mazda.
Mazda 6 is a great car. I think ill buy one
>>16851210
I legit thought it was a Mazda 6 from the catalog kek
Because new cars suck. They changed the taxing in 2010 making the same engines more expensive, and by now they're legally mandated to contain tons of needlessly expensive garbage electronics that break all the time, like tire pressure sensors or in case of the USA backup cameras starting next year.
In this thread: Status of the car you've owned the longest.
rotting in the yard with a fucked master cylinder lost title and me with no desire to fix it
Daily driven, currently on two winter tires and two summer tires, dirty and with broken seat heaters and an ever growing count of rattles.
Good question
Sold it back in July, hoping its being well cared for
