what is even the point of literature. even if it was possible to live your life grounded in the kinds of truths literature reveals, you never come out the other end. nor did anyone who mined them. did hesse pull knulp's reality from his own life, or did he just have talent for imagining it?

Alright /lit/,
I'm planning on writing a book based in a Fantasy world with multiple races (humans, orcs, elves, dwarfs, ect.) but here's the thing about it: It's supposed to be a direct parallel to human history and an analysis on historical events and civilizations. I'm trying to decide on how to go about doing this and I thought you guys could help with this.
I'll also be posting similar threads on /lit/ and /tg/, since I think they'd probably help with this idea. (please try to get along)
My question for you /his/ is: How should I work on the relationships between the different cultures? I was planning on analizing local and world wide relations.
