It's ironic that I am repulsed by Jordan Peterson's "just be a Christian and believe in demons and dragons" advice when I post this picture everyday and people recommend him to me.

I don't want to pretend to believe in dragons and God in order to stop being a lazy gfless person. Lots of people do just fine without them. Peterson is great for fighting pomo but he is doing it with his own brand of bullshit. "Truth depends on the result, so Christianity is true since it helps people." So it was true during the Spanish Inquisition? Or untrue then and true now? And why does he try to co-opt the word "truth" for this meaning? This is dishonest. Why doesn't he use "efficacy" or invent a word?

I simply hate the fucking pseudo intellectuals.

>"Truth depends on the result, so Christianity is true since it helps people."
If he claims this, he doesn't actually believe in the faith, he just believes he believes in it, because he's figured there are benefits to that belief

>When this woman was in high school, she thought she was an atheist. But she decided, at that time, that she should act as if she believed in God. And then—she told me earnestly—over time, she came to really believe in God.

>So far as I can tell, she is completely wrong about that. Always throughout our conversation, she said, over and over, "I believe in God", never once, "There is a God." When I asked her why she was religious, she never once talked about the consequences of God existing, only about the consequences of believing in God. Never, "God will help me", always, "my belief in God helps me". When I put to her, "Someone who just wanted the truth and looked at our universe would not even invent God as a hypothesis," she agreed outright.

He never said to believe any of that literally you autist. It's allegorical. He's referencing myths that gave intricate clues to people on how to be your best self and reach "Enlightenment". He believes in God, but not literal demons or dragons.

Stop drinking flouride.

With this replacement migration, can a nation continue with another people?

"The ship of Theseus, also known as Theseus's paradox, is a thought experiment that raises the question of whether an object that has had all of its components replaced remains fundamentally the same object. The paradox is most notably recorded by Plutarch in Life of Theseus from the late first century. Plutarch asked whether a ship that had been restored by replacing every single wooden part remained the same ship.

The paradox had been discussed by other ancient philosophers such as Heraclitus and Plato prior to Plutarch's writings,[1] and more recently by Thomas Hobbes and John Locke. Several variants are known, including the grandfather's axe, which has had both head and handle replaced."

No
The western civilisation as we know it has been replaced by global civilisation, its not merely about race, but even general stuff like culture, beliefs, music, arts, architecture, etc. represent clear intent to break all ties with the past
>>
>>2972140
if the idea of a nation will catch on a new body of people inhabiting the land will wewuz it appropriating it as if it's own

to catch on it has to propagate certain qualities like nostalgia for "good old times", a simple and attractive image for both gender roles so that young people willingly carry the spook of "nation" forward through the ages bolstering it's popularity and adding to it growing it.
>>
>>2972175
Italians will always be greasy, so at least that stays the same

Western civilization is an idea, not a tangible thing. So, I think Western civilization will continue into the foreseeable future. You can't kill an idea. A secular, democratic and tolerant ideal of Western progressive will live on. A flood of refugees can't bring that down easily. They will always be a minority. The patience Western nations have shown with the atrocities of Muslim migrants in their countries is amazing. I hate Islam (as an Atheist), but I have to admire the tolerance of Western nations who hold a belief in equality and right to worship above the deaths of a few score of compatriots. It really is an example of Western ideals being strong and sturdy

Are nihilists the only honest atheists? I respect their ability to accept all the ramifications of their position, instead of half-assing or trying to have it both ways (Marxists, existentialists, absurdists, humanists, etc.) And despite their bad reputation, they haven't gotten nearly as many people killed.

>>
I don't get how the ones you mention try to have it both ways
>>
>>2972113
False dichotomy, Marxism and nihilism are not incompatible beliefs, Marxism is predominately atheist but freedom of religion is regarded as a good idea

If you found out that your mother was guilty of a VERY serious crime for which, in all likelihood, she would never be caught, would you turn her in? Also, she doesn't know that you know

The minimum viable genetic population is in the 500-1000 range depending on how much inbreeding you're willing to tolerate.

So yes.
