you realize this is largely fictional and stems from a vitriolic, politically charged account of Nero from early xtians right?

I'm saying this thread is utterly worthless and serves no purpose but to vault your pathetic ego over those imaginary 'others' who don't know this rather pointless tidbit of pop-history trivia.

Your thread is basically the thread equivalent of the fact on the inside of a Snapple cap.

How would you go about killing trillions of bugs?
>>
>>3004435
There used to be localized efforts in the US back in the 60s and 70s. In wetlands/coastal areas they used to have vehicles that would drive around spraying chemical clouds to kill off mosquitos and other bugs that bite like greenheads. The problem was that the smell of the chemicals was sweet so kids would follow the trucks on bikes and as it turns out those chemicals were likely carcinogenic.

>Study British history
>Almost all motivation for their actions amount to tying a woman to a train track and rubbing your hands with glee while waiting for the train to come because you want to see her run over
I thought every country had a reason for doing what they do and there were no truly evil people? How come the British act exclusively out of malice and cruel desire throughout history if this is the case?

Is it possible to justify their treatment of the Irish with an argument other than "We didn't see them as people lol"?

I like the Irish but fully appreciate why the Brits treated them how they did.

HVIII was the first English King of Ireland I believe, he also reigns over the reformation, England's ascendancy coincides and can to at-least some extent be attributed to the permanence of that movement, the break from Rome, the Crown's usurpation of papal authority and appropriation of it's revenues was seminal in the creation of the modern English and more broadly British identity.

The succeeding events cultivated an ethno-religous tension between the new virile protestant community and the Catholic vestiges in the British isles.
It's important to bare in mind a few things:
>The Irish are racially distinct.
>This idea that religion is personal and apolitical is ridiculous now, it was even more absurd back then.
>You present Brits as sinister Jews but the Catholic laity burnt pregnant Brits at the stake, demanded not only enforced tithes but that destitute commoners pay inordinate sums to spare there unbaptized still-born from Limbo or Hell.
>The Brits reluctance to have the Papal yoke re-applied was so great that they accepted republicanism for a time!
>Infertile Catholic monarchs James II (tolerated because he was the king) and Maria of Modena tried to present a baby that wasn't theirs as a royal so that Britain would be governed by Catholics forever (really jewish trick desu) leading to Britain welcoming a dutch protestant invasion and then legislating that Catholics could no longer be monarch.

The greater Catholic powers such as Spain and France believed the Catholic populations would serve as a fifth column and this aroused the anxieties of the British.
This wasn't unfounded either, there is a reason Walter Raleigh had to kill Spaniards in Ireland during the Desmond rebellion. The gunpowder plot, the Armada, the Jacobite risings - all very catholic conspiracies against the sovereignty of the British. Consider the ease with which Dillon's regiment was raised.

What do the british think of the war of 1812?
26 posts and 2 images submitted.
>>
They don't. They have 1500+ years of history and countless generations of kings to study. Sad fact is that Americans have a short history because we are a young nation.
>>
It's not remembered by many. As far as the British side of the war is concerned, I think only Canadians care about it that much - to the point of claiming credit for burning down the White House.

It was a silly war for all sides concerned. The British parliament voted to end the press ganging of American sailors just days before the US government declared war on Britain for that very reason, so it was just a transparent attempt by the Americans to annex land further north. But it seems all the offenses made by both sides failed (US invasion of British North America, and the British invasion of the US from the south), and so the conflict ended in a 'draw'.
>>
>>3003971
Both sides mostly got BTFO on the offense despite burning down each other's capital

The Brits have some ability to save face about it since they were fighting two wars and deploying across the sea. The American defeats in Canada were just embarrassing. The British had a few impressive victories in this regard despite the eventual failure of their offensives.

On the naval side, the Americans ended up with some early 1 vs 1 victories against British light frigates with their heavy frigates (in modern terms it would be more like a destroyer vs a cruiser) before losing in that regard as well and ended up blockaded.

The ending was status quo ante bellum but the British rather clearly won since they contained the Americans regionally and didn't lose anything. It was the US's war to win and they simply didn't get it done.

Thing is, those evil portrayals were the Assyrians own accounts of how things went down. The whole point behind their brutality was to keep subject populations from rising up against them. I think the best example of this has to be the Assyrian king's throne room, the ntrwnce to which was covered in art of Assyrian military victories and subsequent treatment of their defeated foes. You end up with a throne room covered in depictions of decapitations, eyes being poked out, fathers watching their sons and daughters be massacred by cavalry, etc.

How do stupid people fit into society? Are they necessary?

I'd say teenagers, but High IQ is inversely related to fertility and so an exclusively high IQ population is not sustainable due to both birth rates and you get a nasty population bottleneck. Ashkenazis are a good case, they are all chiefs and no indians and can't maintain a society without anyone to do the coolie labor.

> High IQ is inversely related to fertility and so an exclusively high IQ population is not sustainable due to both birth rates

In the hypothetical society, you would mandated to have children.

> Ashkenazis are a good case, they are all chiefs and no indians and can't maintain a society without anyone to do the coolie labor.

What do you mean by this? As far as I know, they still exist today. Wikipedia says

"Israel: 2.8 million Russia: 194,000–500,000
Germany: 200,000 Poland: 25,000"

Are they not able to maintain a society? If they don't do the coolie labor, who does?
>>
>>3004153
They have a battery of autoimmune disorders from being inbred-not in a gross way- it's their gene pool. Furthermore, Jews have been minorities whereever they lived until Israel last century. The kibbutz was one grand LARP, even in Israel today, they have the goyish citizens and second class citizens do the manual labor.
