If I shifted Luftwaffe bomber targets from striking RAF airfields to civilian areas, would you capitulate?
Why did the founding fathers choose to create the American Republic? What was the point? Get rich from the war, exempt yourselves from taxes, gain power - this is so fucking shallow and pointless. With this in mind, they could've just plastered "American" all over the British law and be done with the independence part. Why write the silly Constitution and the Federalist Papers? They're a joke and so are the United States. You could've been so much better off under the British rule, just face it.
>they could've just plastered "American" all over the British law and be done with the independence part.
they tried doing this for years. they didn't want to split and did everything they could not to. but britain was such a fucking cunt about the whole thing they had no choice in the end.
>>3131276
does fighting a useless, frozen war for eight years count for absence of choice?
>What was the point?
To gain independence from Britain and the history of abuses she inflicted upon the colonies.
>Why write the Constitution?
To improve upon the shortcomings of the Articles of Confederation by forming a stronger federal government.
>Why write the Federalist Papers?
To convince people that the Constitution was necessary.
>You couldn't been so much better off under the British rule
The Founding Fathers certainly didn't think so. One of the most important claims against Britain was that they were promoting the needs of England at the expense of America. In other words, making America poor to enrich the parent country. Britain's behavior just before and then during the war did a great job justifying the war.
Saw the thread about Iran and thought some of you are curious/interested in my country whose been on the world stage for a while.

Why men had darker skin and women were fair?
What was their actual color?

>Why men had darker skin and women were fair?
went went outside more
>>3130993
Because men go outside and wealthy upper-class women do not.
Men were sun tanned from being outside in the sun, women spent more time endures. Also fair is a standard of beauty for women but not men.

All the rape makes people uncomfortable, and the reality of black american genetics is more complex than any simplistic narrative, which tends to make it hard for ideologues on all sides - left, right, alt-right, black nationalist, etc. - to push their agendas.

What would happen if a nation managed to take over the whole world? How would internal politics play out?
>>3130820
It would divide into seperate nations over a short period of time. Whatever becomes too big divides eventually. Nations, languages, cultures, you name it.
It worked out like this for two countries sooooo

WHY AM I LAUGHTING AT THIS
Which one was more important and why?
On the one hand it's easy to imagine that the american revolution was more important because it led directly to the french revolution. But on the other hand it's hard to say if it was the american revolution, or the french one, the one that had the biggest and more lasting impact on society.
>>3130794
it's probably a tie, really
American revolution led to birth of a future superpower. French also (it just wasn't France, lel)
>>3130806
>American revolution led to birth of a future superpower. French also (it just wasn't France, lel)
What superpower did the French revolution created?
>>3130806
Yeah United States were a superpower before 1939. I mean it took a lot of military skills to beat some 3th world countries in latin america. Or beat a ravaged european country with three time less population than USA, And all that for a stupid islands which will be conquered by a guy with a beard and 12 guerillos.

Because that would have required an active and informed citizenry which the US hasn't had since the 19th century.

What he claims
>born in Korea under Japanese rule
>drafted into the imperial Japanese Army
>forced to fight in the Battle of Khalkin Gol
>captured by the Soviets

>gets sent to Normandy few days before D-Day
>survives D-Day

If this story is true, is he not the luckiest fucker on the planet? How the hell do you survive a battle in all three fronts of the deadliest war in human history?
>"hey John, there's a fucking nip in here!"
>"we're already in japan?"
Probably just a hilfswillige from the far east or central asia.
if he voluntarily joined the nazis after all that shit either he's the dumbest gook on the planet or he wasn't really "forced" to join the previous two.
I'm giving this up at about 120 pages in. Too much is going on.
It feels so great to give it up. Not that it's a bad book, I just love not being chained to it because pseuds claim it's part of the canon and I have to read it and like it or else I'm dumb

what do you think was the biggest mistake they made eg hyperinflation. that lead to their downfall

Hyperinflation was not a mistake. It was deliberate financial policy.
