So I came to the conclusion about something /g/
The only reason(s) you don't like social media is because of:
1. you don't know how to use it to your advantages
2. you have the emotional aspect of a 16 year old saying "YOU CAN'T TELL ME WHAT TO DO!"
3. you don't really have any friends, so what's the point of socializing?
4. you're likely autistic
And by calling facebook a failure, I think what it really amounts to is that you're jealous that mark is smarter than you can make shit you can't. Let's be honest /g/, you know how facebook, twitter, instagram, tumblr, all forms of social media work. The only way it knows anything about you is if it you tell them things. If you tell them your name and main info of course you'll get the ads targeted at you from your amazon or eBay.
Logically speaking, why is "data mining" a bad thing? You realize that with data mining, them knowing what you're into HELPS YOU in the end as an outcome. Taking a poll or watching say what goes on in your amazon, even if you just buy music or vinyls, it will pop up as an ad and you can be reminded. Guess what, they don't give a fuck what you're into, you aint nothin special to them.
It's not like you can't get facebook purity and uBlock anyways.

UNBIASED EXPERIENCE THREAD
WINDOWS - Windows 10 is my desktop OS while I prefer Windows 7 my Windows 7 actually corrupted itself and it would bluescreen everytime I turned it on I wasn't able to find a cheap windows 7 so I but the bullet and installed Windows 10 I don't see any problems with it I've been using it for a few months while it is annoying to have Microsoft programs pushed in your face I'm not autistic and just exit out of them overall its still a great OS
LINUX - My first venture into Linux was Ubuntu on a vm I immediately fell in love with how it looked and how it worked. When I finally decided to install a distro on my computer I chose mint it was nice but wasn't what I was looking for. I then distro hopped around went from mint to solus to elementary then I decided to do Arch. I had no knowledge so I followed a YouTube video and it didn't tell me to install network manager so when I was done I couldn't connect to WiFi so I said fuck that and went back to mint. I once again wasn't satisfied so I tried Arch again I read about the Arch-anywhere installer and did that after a ton of hangs and slow loading I finally got it installed and started learning about different DE's I started with GNOME which I hate went to xfce then to budgie now I'm at KDE Plasma. I love Arch but I will admit I find it to be more buggy than Windows. I've had to reboot several times because of shit breaking but I think that's more on the Plasma side. While Windows is less buggy for me I prefer to use Arch. I would love to try Gentoo but I don't like how vm's work and don't won't to delete Arch
Mac OS X - I've never used mac before but I think it is a beautiful desktop with some great features.

That is true I had exhausted all of my knowledge as to what was going on with my pc because I'd never heard of an OS just corrupting itself out of nowhere so I went to office max and when I asked about windows 10 even he admitted it was too intrusive and how bad the anniversary update was. My grandmother actually had her pc update from windows 7 to 10 without her saying yes. When older people don't understand computers and they more use muscle memory "click this icon and it will take me to Facebook" it messed a lot of shit up for her she still talks about how she likes "the old computer thing" better.

Windows 10 is honestly an unpolished, resource hungry, uncustomizable and unstable OS. I'd regret if I actually had to pay for it but god bless pirates.
I dualboot with Ubuntu GNOME and I am more comfortable in my Ubuntu to be quite frank.

So.... This is my new obsession:
The raspberry pi series of computers.
I want to build pic related with the addition of a tiny 802.11n wifi usb dongle to occupy the inner usb port. and then epoxy seal the hardware in place while leaving a bubbled space so that the sd card can still be removed/replaced. But the rest of it will be immune to dammage/ravages of time, etc.
I want to be able to dual boot retropie and also raspbian pixel or ubuntu mate (whichever desktop os is best all around for doing everything in general)
I have scoured the raspberrypi.org forums and found nothing useful or helpful.
I have googled extensively but all i keep finding is dual boots for retropie and different flavors of fuckin kodi. Or some un useable un recogniseable non user friendly type of os thst seems to have very little function Or ability.
Please help.

ufw and gufw is shit, it only lets you either allow everything, block everything or allow just some damn ports, no allowing by executables or anything.
No I don't want to change my distro just to have a half decent firewall

I don't think that's possible with netfilter/iptables and all firewalls in Linux are frontends for netfilter/iptables
At least that was the case some years ago when I had to research a lot about netfilter/iptable to build a firewall/nat router out of a debian box and decided to stick with iptables and not to use a frontend. The thing worked fine

It's a redhat frontend which integrates with networkd and it has a graphical frontend too.

An emulator for a System A on a System B is basically mimicking, using code, the architecture of System A as a program which can be run on System B, thus being able to effectively run System A's software on System B. Is that right?
With that said, PC's are using x86 and the PS4 and XBone use the same architecture. How easy/hard would it be to make a PS4 emulator? Would you just need to somehow load the PS4 OS on a PC? What is stopping us at the moment, is it just resources or is there something else?

I don't understand shield. Why not just feed an hdmi cable, get a cheap bluetooth adapter and use a refurbished ps3 controllers, ps4/xbone/ or whatever bluetooth controller you so please. That's what I do and it works fantastic. 200 fucking dollars? My setup for my rig was like $20.
