Is it possible to install Windows and set it up inside of a pre-existing installation? I really don't want to go through the hassle of installing all my programs for hours before I have a usable system, but I'd love to just have a VM attached to a hard drive that I can slowly add all the software I need until eventually just booting straight from it.
Is this possible, or would running it virtually fuck up the bootloader or something? What about installing it normally, then accessing it through a VM? Keeping in mind that these are all seperate hard drives on the same system.
I originally just wanted to get all my programs pre-loaded into an ISO image, but setting it up directly would be so much better. Most of the software I use requires extensive setup anyway.

No, that's impossible.

nope.

I've done this before but I completely forgot how I did it.

No.
Apple is shit
set up RAID 1 as one level of safety, then an external drive somewhere else in your house, and then do some cloud backups but not from apple
So my great great grandfather Charles William the 3rd just recently died of testicular cancer. Just before his dying breath, he reached into his pocket, coughed, and pulled out a brand new space grey iphone 7. This server him well and he passed it down to me as a treasure to cherish. So after I got the phone I went home and tried to put the new angry birds game on my phone, at which point I realized that there was an Icloud lock screen. So I decided to come to /G/ to see if anyone knows how to unlock the phone. If it matters the phone is ipHone 7 and it looks like the picture. I didn't steal it so please help me unlock my new iphone. Thanks.

The time is nigh,
I have been unironically shilling for Intel since 2010 when I was approached by somebody from Intel whom shall remain unnamed. At first it was easy to shill especially with AMD's FX lineup then the rebranding and the rebranding of rebrands. I got lost in all the commotion and fun, I was finally making the big bucks but I just can't do it anymore. I feel guilty, the insanity is killing me and I just can't hold it in anymore. I just don't get it. I don't know how. How do people buy Poo in Da Loo Ryzen? When you can get a 10 to 18 core Skylake-X from $999 and extend right the way up to $1,999! You'd be absolutely crazy to not pickup an 18 core processor for a MERE $1,999 or $999 for a mega whopping 10 core BEHEMOTH! You just CANT beat it at this price, and you wouldn't want to because boy if you miss out on this your grand kids will be beating you up for missing out on one for the ages.

All memes aside, and objectively, are there any real benefits from installing only from the store? Would this really prevent rot and over time performance degradation?
Also is this the solution to finally free us from being "family tech support"?

>Also is this the solution to finally free us from being "family tech support"?
no. you can expect mom to call you when she cant install anything that isnt on the store. Including things like Google Chrome.
>Would this really prevent rot and over time performance degradation?
possibly, but app store programs arent even sandboxed, so this just gives a false sense of security for people who dont know what theyre doing but like to install random apps.

Virii can circumvent the protection

I don't know. It's closed source and we have no experience of it at the moment, so who knows, but this will certainly not be secure.
>Also is this the solution to finally free us from being "family tech support"?
If by "being family tech support" you mean "looking up the printer's website on Wikipedia, finding the printer's model, driver.exe, next, next, next, accept EULA, install", I don't fucking care, but this will hopefully free Windows 10 S users from paying 80$ for this.
Did I miss something?
Cant make it work anymore.... any solutions?

It's over. MegaDownloader is dead.
Hi /g/, I acquired this bad boy recently. I like it but it doesn't run smoothly (sometimes it will stop working for like 20 seconds at a time). Please tell me, what are some common sense things that you would do to a computer like this to try to make it work better? I'm pretty ignorant when it comes to computers.
>>60962749
install Gentoo
>>60962749
- Install win7 instead of 10, will make it smoother
- Install an SDD, the original HDD is fucking shit. Mine is now pretty usable, pic related
- consider installing linux
- clean the fan and apply new thermal paste if you haven't already
>>60962749
>>60962862
Also you need to install a modded graphics driver on win7, you can find it here:

Hey guys, I need your help, im thinking about update my gpu, I actually have a I7 with an gtx 750, 8 gb ram 2 tb hdd, well, my pc is slow, I just formated 2 days ago, and some programms stop working, I play wow for 2 years like 14h/day, the slow is possible because the cpu and the gpu is overused?
How can I know if the cpu is overused or not? Because I didn't know if I should buy a 1080 ti or a 1060 and another cpu?
>cpu
>overused
what?
anyway. your gpu is trash. but you should also get an ssd.
>>60962388
Like use the cpu too much, its 10k hours using the cpu, like the cpu is starting to die, bc some programs 2 years ago works fine and now are slow

opinions on Libreboot T400?
dont buy it from minifree unless you want to support a crazy tranny
buy one and spi flash it yourself, then install an fsf approved distro for max freedom points
x200 is more comfy tho
>>60960916
thanks
>>60960916
Isn't the SPI flash difficult? I've thought of getting the MacBook that supports libreboot, since you can install with terminal only, but I'm not sure it's worth it.
Xfce works good and simple, but I can't fix the screen tearing. It tears on small videos. It tears too much on full screen videos. It still uses GTK2 when GTK3 is superior.
I'm going back to KDE.

Hey guys. What's a good free software to migrate my OS to my SSD? most search results yield super sketchy chinkware sites. Please help. Thanks
Shame you don't use Linux.
You might be able to clone your drive onto your SSD but I don't know if Windows will flip it's shit if you do this.
Minitool Partition Wizard or Clonezilla.
