Why is anyone still buying into the "Drift is the Mary Sue Poochie Scrappy Doo of Transformers" meme? He didn't even have a very large role in All Hail Megatron, and didn't affect the outcome of the story.

It's like everyone judged what he would be before he even appeared, and were collectively too stubborn to admit they were wrong.

and yeah, they cameoed Lugnut later, but he's only ever showed up like three time, for one panel each, has never spoken, and never interacted with Megatron, so what's the point?

I just think that the beginning in particular drags and is dull destruction porn with boring human characters, and the good bits weren't worth chucking out the entirety of Furman's run for. I know it's a bit of a love-it-or-hate it thing, and it does have some great moments, I'm just personally not a fan.
It's a hell of a lot better than Costa's run though.
