A bunch of threads ago the MASS device was considered nonviable because whatever you sent through would break down into its elements. The thing appeared to have at least global range, so I got really annoyed at the characters at that point because the space travel applications are so very obvious.

Launch massive payloads with MASS-fueled boosters? Run advanced 3D printers on COBRA Station with MASS-delivered feedstock? MASS is a failure? Bah!

Also, consider that it's less that MASS was useless, and more that Destro had failed to deliver on his promises. If they had just killed off Destro, I'm sure Cobra would've taken MASS and found a use for it anyway.

No no, I didn't mean it would be used for space travel as such unless Destro's off to Cybertron to have a pimp-off with Megatron. But you should be able to feed fuel to a booster - imagine a SpaceX ITS launcher with a receiver (if that's even necessary) for fuel and/or oxidizer instead of the tanks, unless I misunderstand. And then get raw materials to the station.

Yeah, there should be some uses. If you deliver a bunch of explosive or gas you still get stuff done.
