Hey /co/, I wanted to get some perspective on how superheroes behave in comics and cartoons. One of my favorite authors is Shotaro Ishinomori, because he hit the nail on the head for me. His most famous works, Kamen Rider, Super Sentai, and Cyborg 009 share this idea that the ideas of maintaining peace and justice must prevail, no matter what.
Ishinomori presented this without making light of doing good deeds, without making the heroes seem like hypocrites, and managed to maintain a sense of hope even when a villain threatened to return.
I think the Modern Age could use a good dose of this type of thinking and story-telling. Anyone want to share?

For the most part I tend to only like Earth comics that are at least somewhat whacky. Otherwise if I'm reading capes I prefer Cosmic.
