The Simurgh attacks New York City. With a roster of 20 Marvel heroes, who do you choose to fight her and why?
Why is it attacking, everything I found said "Benevolent"?

Just fucking whatever shitty or funny comic covers there are.
I'm thinking of pitching a new character to Marvel.
He'll be a new X men mutant with the power to make people gain or lose weight. He also happens to have a raging fat fetish.
The gimmick will be he wins by making female super villains fat as fuck so they can't fight. Maybe he'll be an anti hero like the Punisher that other heroes just sort of tolerate.
Haven't though of a name yet. Suggestions are appreciated.
>New X-Men mutant
Well, that's where you FIRST went wrong

Yeah, OP seems to have his info outdated.

We'll finally get the true Batman that even Miller and Morrison couldn't write. This is what Batman is truly like. The true person behind the archetype.

I can't tell if you are being sarcastic, but I know people liked his take on Superman.

Is he going to get drunk, get arrested, and go on a racist rant, too?
Lana Lang is Cute! CUTE!
Why did Superman dump her for that slut Louis?

>When he initially appears, Simon Dark has amnesia. He exhibits some super-human abilities such as enhanced speed and agility, as well as extraordinary strength. He acts as a protector of a neighborhood called "the Village" in Gotham City; for its part the neighborhood is happy for their odd protector's presence.
>As the comic progresses it is revealed that Simon Dark was created from the bodies of 20 boys by a desperate medical genius who turned to a dark cult for assistance. Simon, and several other characters in the comic, were created using science and magic but only Simon was created with a purpose; to stop the dark cult that created him.
>Eventually Simon transforms from a scared and confused creature with a childlike mentality into a powerful and confident supernatural being with a laundry list of vaguely defined occult superpowers, many of which are only used once. He is resistant to damage (bullets hurt but don't seem to seriously impair him), extremely strong, can read minds, pasts and futures by touching people and can change his appearance (or at least his face) to hide his scarred face. He can cast magical rituals that allow him to see far away places and the future, and transport himself and other people to other dimensions. Once, he uses a magical rock like a floating high speed weapon, slamming through enemies like a bullet under his mental direction. He also has three shapechanging servants he calls his 'familiars', who he liberates from the evil cult; they are physically very powerful.
>Apparently, he can also bring dead people back to life by sacrificing some of the 20 souls that constitute him.
>He also becomes the magical overseer of Gotham (confusingly called The Mayor), who controls the flow of supernatural creatures into the city
I'm getting real sick of movie villains finding out who Spider-man is. Almost all of them found out.
Pic related is the only one that should ever know.

Boy, I really hope somebody got fired for that blunder.

Whoa....I loved this movie so much, but now that you pointed this out I hate it with every fiber of my being. I'm taking a hammer to my copy right now.
Hey /co/, I'm trying to expand my horizons comic wise and after seeing them pop up every once in a while in the DCU, I'm thinking about Kirby's New Gods saga.
So until I can track down hard copies or I'm lucky enough to catch a storytime around here, anyone want to explain why this series has been so influential to the DCU?
>>93806950
google it, dumbass
>>93806950
DC is reprinted the entire thing in a single huge volume later this year:

A few months ago, an anon known as Designated Dave storytimed the entire saga. This is the first thread, and I think he has links to every new part at the end of each thread. If not, search the Desuarchive for it. He doesn't use subject titles, which makes it harder though:

Why google what comics book fans think about it, when I can ask comic book fans directly?
Is Superman stronger than...
-Brainiac?
-Darkseid?
-Mongul?
-Zod?
>>93806766
There are no power levels in DC only writers that choose the outcome and make characters to create conflict to keep an on going story going, in reality based on the creation of superman he is supposed to be the strongest race but that would be boring to just have him win every time since his creation and it wouldn't of made the money they wanted.
Zod would be the closest to his strength and probably the least used because nobody knows what to do with him.
>>93807121
Brainiac, Darkseid, and Mongul have all been explicitly stated or shown to be stronger than Superman before.
>>93806766
>Brainiac
There are a lot of Brainiacs (human, robot, "real", super "real") so there's clear answer.
>Darkseid
Superman is physically stronger but Darkseid's Omega Effect and the arsenal of Apokalips gives him an advantage. There's also the whole "destined to die fighting Orion" prophecy/plot armor (which was a plot point in Final Crisis and The Great Darkness Saga).
>Mongul
About even
>Zod
Zod is slightly stronger but is usually undone by his sanity/hubris/pettiness
Lackadaisy updated with 3 new pages and it was last updated 3 months ago. Wasn't this supposed to get updated faster since the Patreon is raking in 5.5k every month?
Isn't the artist now doing this fulltime? Or has the artist kept it as a side project while scamming furries? Scamming furries out of their money is probably a service to the world.
Well at least it's doing better than Prequel. Fuck you Kaz
