I left a frozen pizza in the oven on gas mark 3 for, like, a couple of hours by mistake -it didn't start a fire. why not?
>raw chicken is good

How do I make cakes soft and moist? Mine come out dense and dry.
>>9111893
Don't over stir your batter.
Really depends on the kind of cake your making. A chocolate mayonnaise cake always comes out moist and delicious.

baking soda
>>9111893
oh and don't bake it at too hot temperatures and too long
U jelly?
not of your camera

Congratulations. You have a bunch of empty boxes that once contained overpriced champagne.
I've decide to start cooking at home here at uni. My dining plan is about to run out and I'm kind of freaking out because I have no idea what to make. I've also hardly ever cooked before. Any suggestions? I'm not a picky eater at all but I'm totally in the dark in terms of what to do right now.
Ground beef marinara

Also all I have is the following
>bag of onions, brown rice, oats
>salt, pepper, sesame seed oil, canola oil, hoisin sauce, butter, teak seasoning
>frozen fruit and veg
>parmesan and tomato sauce
I have so much shit yet can't do anything with it, what else should I buy?
>>9111857
look up how to butterfly a chicken breast
toss the pieces in a little bit of oil plus seasonings - if you're a white boi salt and pepper is fine but i suggest also using paprika, cumin, and A LITTLE BIT OF cayenne
put that in your oven at 350 F until it reaches 165 F internally. if you don't have a thermometer, it's usually ok once the juices spring out and run clear, usually no more than 20 minutes
for carbs you can chop up some potatoes, season them, and bake them until they are soft. rice is also easy and cheap, usually just follow the directions on the package
>kobe beef burger
Just prepared myself a big bowl of these, lads.
Gonna hate myself more than I already do in 15 minutes once I finish them.
>Ice cubes doesn't belong in orange juice

Darn right they don't.
Frozen OJ cubes belong in OJ.
Who here /4th of july cake/
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xbkhf3CG3Rs
I've made that before, but when I was younger and couldn't cook as well as I can now. This 4th, for dessert, I'm making Big Red ice cream with a blueberry swirl and homemade waffle cones.
What do you guys feed your pets?
>>9111518

I buy bunches of squirrels and break their legs. Then let them loose in my forest, hobbling around. My dog loves to run and chase them down. They can still kind of run with the bum leg, so it's a challenge for my mutt but he definitely gets to eat. You should see the satisfaction in his eyes from catching his own dinner. Never again will I buy that useless bagged food from the grocery store.
I'll be alone for two days. I think that's a perfect opportunity to start cooking.
What are some good meals to learn how to cook? Breakfast, lunch, dinner and in-between foods.

cereal.

Soups and curries are easy to make and freeze well, so you can really get the most out of your prep time. A good red wine and beef stew is my favorite. This is a decent recipe: http://www.saveur.com/article/Recipes/Classic-Beef-Beer-Stew
For breakfast, really learn how to cook an egg. They're cheap, so you can practice.
Speaking of practicing, use onions as cutting practice. They're cheap, go in pretty much anything, and keep for weeks even when cut up. Just youtube tutorials and keep that knife sharp to be safe. A dull knife will meet uneven resistance in what you're cutting and slip into your fingers.

How do I stop eating like shit and cook decent meals for myself?
Find a recipe you wanna try
Gather the required ingredients and utensils
Cook the food
walla

Literally this
If you have a hankering for some fast food shit, look up a recipe for it instead and get to cooking it yourself.
It might come out like shit the first time, but that's okay, learn from mistakes.
If you think you could get demotivated then use a loud timer to avoid burning shit and don't buy too many perishables at a time.
