That's pretty gnarly. Not bad.
What is your favorite dish from Oaxaca, /ck/? For me, it is Tlayudas.
I was given a small cast iron skillet that is new. It is smaller but not tiny so I can see it mostly for breakfast or smaller meals because I live alone.
What is the first thing I should do to/with it?
season it
lots of black and red pepper, maybe some garlic, basil, thyme, rosemary, just a good solid savory mix
>>9112839
>What is the first thing I should do to/with it?
Make your smoke detector go off.
>>9112853
Yum
>tfw Italian and hate tomatoes
>not sustaining yourself solely on olive oil and wine
you're not italying right
Same stupid thread was up earlier. Try harder this isn't /b/ yet
>>9112815
Northern "Italian" Prussian pls go.
Im making ratatouille, but i fucked up and missed some ingrediants. Anyone have any good suggestions for recipes if I only have garlic powder, eggplant, 2 sweet peppers, large tomatos, and yellow onions?
I need something simple, I dont have much spices.
I forgot to mention I have yellow squash.
Post one delicacy from your country. Burgers can only post one burger in this thread, choose wisely, burgers.
>>9112551
This stuff is pretty good
>>9112551
Here's one from San Francisco
>>9112551
Fuh-jahl-bryant. What is it.
Why does the flaky "quick" variety even exist? Old fashioned, with its bigger cuts of oats, has a better texture when eating it and old fashioned is better in recipes.
I don't think quick even cooks any faster. I pour hot water over old fashioned oatmeal and within a minute it's ready to eat just the same.
>>9112544
I don't like "chewy" oats.
>grow up with instant flavored oats
>think this is the correct texture and taste
>can't into other types of oats as a result
Also why savory oats are so often overlooked as an actual option
>>9112544
>I pour hot water over old fashioned oatmeal and within a minute it's ready to eat just the same.
you're kidding, right? I cook mine for 5 minutes, and let it sit and cool off for 10 minutes.
Hellow /ck/
I have never posted anything here, nor even thought about posting here, but there's something I need to get off my chest.
Chick Fila. We all love it right? Hell yeah. But what do you love most about it? Don't answer, I'll tell you. That God. Damned:
Chick Fila Sauce.
Not that bullshit BBQ sauce, I'm talking tried and tested classic Chick Fila sauce.
Now, I've found a recipe for sais sauce. It's pretty fuckin insane. And to be honest, I feel a bit guilty. There's so many suckers out there that don't know how to make the all powerful Chick Fila sauce, and they have to wait until they go out next to get some of that sauce.
Well guess what motherfucker. You probably already have the ingredients needed to make the Chick Fila Sauce.
Here it is:
1/2 cup Mayo
2 tsp mustard
1 tsp lemon juice
2 tbs honey
1 tbs bbq sauce
There you go you sick fucks. Enjoy this shit.
Have any of you used a charcoal grill as a smoker?
Was it worth it?
>>9112372
I use my vintage Weber to smoke on exclusively. I had an offset smoker previously. I just don't have the room for both. I think an actual smoker does deliver a better experience because of the heat being not as close to the meat. I however feel with a little patience and understanding it is sufficient. I am more than satisfied with the product my grill produces from an indirect set up.
>>9112372
>worth it
Do you like slow smoked meats? Then yes. You need to have the coals on one side and the meat on the other so it's indirect. Also keeping the temp around 225F can be tricky. Need to keep intake vents partially closed.
The main drawback other than temp control is only being able to do a relatively small quantity of meat instead of loading the smoker with a couple slabs of ribs, a shoulder and a couple of chickens.
i have a kingsford water smoker, i've used it to smoke brisket, ribs, tritip, and pork shoulder and it all turns out amazing. a lot of people say the water keeps it moist but in reality its just a heatsink so i replaced it with sand. it can convert back to a normal charcoal grill if you raise the pan up.
Did you get free fries today? I got mine with a $1.19 cheeseburger.
Also 7-11 is giving away free large rice krispie treats to everyone with the 7-11 app.

It was delicious. Maybe the best burger in there.
>>9112209
Looks like it'd be alright, but nothing amazing
>>9112209
>It was delicious. Maybe the best burger in there.
Kinda garbage. I don't like their pork though. Nacho burger was best burg. My real favorite thing to get was the nachos with chips replaced by fries.
>t. Former buffalito
>>9112209
what is this... food porn for ants?
I want to add some vegetarian stuff to my diet. What are your go to meals, /ck/? I literally do not know where to start
Potato and leek soup is pretty good and filling. A bowl and a side of a sandwich can be pretty good.
Some fried bacon or sausage goes well, in it, but if you wanna keep it vegetarian just add some cheese or fried mushrooms in.
>>9112133
Borscht is so fucking good and cheap.
Pretty much all curries and paneers. Just go nuts with Indian food, really. They're stereotyped as classic vegetarian food because they've developed an delicious and varied cuisine over the millennia their dominant religions frowned on meat.
>>9112330
Also, you can make meatballs easily by replacing the meat with a minced mixture of caramelized onions and mushrooms browned in a little butter. Don't get the white button mushrooms, those taste like cardboard. Invest in your star ingredient. Asian groceries usually have lots of mushroom varieties on the cheap.
Was Ramsy over the line during this part?
>>9112123
That pizza was SHIT.
>>9112136
No, it will be though. Get your facts straight boy.
Are Oreos meme food?
Ive been eating oreos for the last year almost every day.
Do I have bad taste?
Someone said I will die from cancer.
A couple of years ago oreos were how on 9gag.
The oreo meme lasted for years.
Did they stop tasting good?
>>9112105
You discovered the taste of cum and decided that was the only thing you would eat for the rest of your life, 9fagger.
They're mass produced, full of preservatives, and have no redeeming nutritive value.
But hey, we have to distract ourselves from our inner feelings somehow.
is calling something a meme a meme?
