Hey /x/, I am looking for some information and was told you guys may be able to help. This isn't a role playing thread, I'm just trying to get some answers or directed to where I can find more information
Backstory: a friend of mine, Ryan, has been in a competition with another guy, Dave. The competition has been going for about two weeks now and Ryan has been crushing Dave. However, this changed a few days ago
Dave told Ryan that he went to a Chinese witch (I think?) and bought pic related. He told Ryan that the woman put a curse on the tree that targets Ryan.
Now, this curse seems to be working, as crazy as it sounds, because Ryan's luck changed the day Dave got the tree. Normally I'd say it's all in his head but he didn't know Dave had the tree until this morning
What can be done to counter the curse? What's the background on Asian witchcraft? Any good information on what could be done to rid the curse or bring luck?

I've not heard of such "positive" (at least from an item association perspective) object being used to focus negative energies. Sounds like placebo or some other shit going on. Maybe psychological.
If you're talking about Chinese occultism, look up Taoism... Mao Shan sect is apparently one of the more visible ones. Not very familiar myself with these, but usually it would involve "amulets" (pieces of paper with writing folded up, maybe burnt)... This tree does seem... Unconventional for such a usage, to put it very mildly. More for feng shui uses and associated with the more modern crystal healing movement, than traditional Chinese occultism.

Something very strange yet beautiful happened to me when I was little (around 8 yo) ; One early very clear morning I was playing with my little sister outside when suddenly multiple shaped clouds start appearing (different cartoon shapes such as mickey, merlin the wizard,donald the duck, poppey&olive, etc... ) and they were so real and very well shaped with all the details, I remember it very well and I'm very sure I wasn't imagining them or whatever, my sister remeber them too, but after all the people trying to convince her that we were very young back then and we were imagining specially she was very young she kinda changed her mind, But I am confident and very sure they were real and I saw them.
I want to know what were they and any explanations
