Made this thread yesterday and it died fast.
Leaks say Gen 1 mons keep their gen 1 stats and typing, this pretty much any pokemon with high special is fucking OP.
Chansey has 105 base special attack, Magenton 125 base special defense, and Haunter base 115 special defense for starters.
How do you think this will playout?
Eviolite Gen 1 special walls fucking special attackers seems likely.

Doesn't matter. This forces some gen 1 mons to use their base abilities rather than hidden abilities, and a lot of these special attackers are fucked by other things.

It's still possible that Growlithe and Arcanine might get Alola Forms, but this sure doesn't support that. From what we've seen so far, the returning Pokémon shown off in the trailers are actually obtainable in Pokémon Sun and Moon without transferring them from another game.

Alola variations are the versions you catch in SM, and you need to transfer from XYORASRGBY to get the non-alola variants.
