How do so many of you dislike this? Especially after Chesnaught? It's an owl so it's logical to be bipedal. It has a cool concept and all the detail actually means something for once. There's no extra bullshit slapped on just to busy it up.

Welp... It looks like my Fire Dragon got killed by a Bulbasaur... How can this be? I thought mega Charizard Y was all OP and shit. I guess I fell for the hype. I should have easily been able to OHKO that Bulbasaur but in the end it OHKOed me.... fucking sucks man

I would be happy with a Mexico/Argentina/Brazil region or an Australia region, too. I just hope we don't get something boring.
I don't want to sound like a Genwunner, but why did they start over designing Pokemon so much?
Gen I, II, III(this is where it started though), and IV to some extent had nice simple designs. Even if the earliest gens suffered from Just Get Bigger formula, I'd prefer that to the ugly patterns they just throw on each one now.

Gen 7 seems to be going the sinpler route, so that may sate you. Pokémon have been heavily "overdesigned" since gen 3 though.

Made this in the hopes of setting things straight. Feel free to share with anyone who is spouting misinformation.
I tried to be as objective and factual as possible, but if you want my 2 cents on the four of them, I believe that:
- the concept art is 100% confirmed as real at this point. Whether those are the actual final designs remains to be seen but I seriously doubt there will be any drastic changes, if any at all.
- the Chinese leak is strongly leaning towards being real, but I'm not fully convinced yet
- the split evos leak is not real - it's way too broad and just barely managed to get one thing right
- I'm split about the "real leaks" leak: on one hand it got the birds and regional forms right, on the other hand it got Ninetales' typing completely wrong. It might have been sprinkled with intentionally incorrect information (in which case it doesn't really mean anything at all because we don't know what information is true and what isn't).

Alright. Call BS if you want but a few months back I started making my own pokedex of original mons. Mainly for nostalgia feels. It was set in a tropical island region called Oshan due to being disappointed that there was never a game set in the Orange Islands. Then, Sun and Moon is announced.

Now, the starters I chose were based on some of my favorite pokemon as a kid. Tropius, Lapras, Torkoal. They would have a split evolution line based on climates. For example Tropius would evolve into Tropicone in colder climates or Tropidon in warmer climates. Then I seen the new Alola versions of Vulpix, Sandshrew, etc...
Not saying that I was first in coming up with these ideas. Just crazy how close I came to their finished product before I had any knowledge of it.

I wish Sun and Moon were different in that one version was MUCH harder in terms of puzzles, leveling, and catching, but rewarded the player with more shinies and unique legendaries.
XY was just too easy.
