It has been widely theorized that Many older mon, especially ones found in the Safari Zone were native Alolan Pokemon, who were brought to Kanto and other regions and adapted to the sub-tropical environments there.
I desperately hope that means we get a "do-over" for my original favorite: Scyther. His design is clunky, with the round ball joints, but more than that I fucking hate Scizor.
This robot lobster is not the green, fast, bladed MANTIS, which is what I loved about Scythers aesthetics. Hopefully since Scyther has to evolve with the aid of an outside item, that means that his TRUE evolution was blocked since he was outside of his natural environment and we will get a real evolution and Scizor can fuck off to the kiddie pool and Smogon where he thrives.

No, they'll perform pretty much the same. You might notice less FPS lag during triple or horde battles on the absolute latest model 3DS, but if you don't want to spend too much money for just Pokémon the 2DS works just fine.

I have a regular 3DS and I'm worried as well. What we've seen in the trailers is a tad too good looking and smooth. I'm expecting it to not look as good in regular 3DS/2Ds.
Some games do this already, Monster Hunter loses detail in several textures and overall looks less crisp. There's ways to make a game less heavy without it looking like shit as anyone who plays on PC probably knows
However, after 20 years I still don't trust Gamefreaks technical capabilities all that much.

To get an Arceus, state your preferred nature, then put a wurmple or scatterbug on GTS requesting a level 100 ditto with /vp/ as the comment. Arceus can not be traded over GTS due to the classic ribbon.

I love grass Pokémon, want a full grass team, and usually pick them as starters. But I'm struggling to find a reason to justify it in a slot.
5 type weaknesses
7 type ineffectives
Literally worst balance only closely followed by Bug (the joke type). Every other random trainer hits me with a super-effective. Snivy is awesome but if I'm being honest the only thing making it worth while is the HP recovery abilities with Big Root.
TLDR: I love grass types but the balance is broken. Reason to make my obsession justified.

It's unfortunate that sun teams also got gutted with the general weather nerfs. Sun was never OP since the pokemon that use it are mostly grass and it buffs fire damage. A double edged sword.
