Hey guys. Newcomer to /vp/ here. Loved the games when I was younger, dropped off after HG/SS. Trying to get back into it. Bought a 2DS XL and was wondering...
1. What Games to get: I have everything up to Black and White, meaning I dont have B2W2, X&Y, OR/AS, and Sun/Moon.
2. How to get event pokemon. Do I need action replay? I bought it and have the cartridge and cord, but no disc. How do I get custom pokemon etc.?
3. What's the best way to transfer pokemon cross-generation? I don't wanna do Nuzlock because I don't like the Idea of killing my little amigo's.
Any help appreciated. If there's a /vp/ wiki I'd love that, sorry for wasting your time if so.

1. Buy 1 of BW2, XY, and maybe ORAS. Wait until USM instead of buying SM.
2. You can use Action Replay if you want events, or pkhex if you want to use homebrew. Or you could ask others to inject them for you.
3. Pokemon Bank. It's only 5$

I'd get one of each of those. They vary in quality, but they're all worth playing. If you have to skip any, I'd prioritize BW2 > SM > ORAS > XY. But honestly, Ultra Sun/Moon comes out soon anyway, so just wait for that.

From BW on, there's an application you can get for the 3DS that allows you to just directly transfer between games across Gens 5 through 7. It costs $5 per year, but it's much easier than past inter-game transfers.
