It depends on what you value in a game

Taro games are much like Suda's; they're very much style over substance. Nier is about the music and the allegory, which isset on top of a fairly serviceable hack 'n slash game with interesting bullet hell elements. But the combat is far from interesting enough to carry you through 30 hours. It'll all come down to how much you like the other aspects
