Casualized combat, the fact that they took away vancian casting is worrying

hopes: better encounter design, interesting story, better character development, actual choice & consequence, and more varied enemies with better AI and/or more distinct abilities

It's not really your player character, but in the digimon world games your digimon usually age and die eventually. They also get tired more easily and gain less stats from training when they get old.

Actually, let me explain why I choose it
>game opens as your wife/husbando leave you due to being a lazy bum
>time passes
>you get a wedding invitation to your ex's wedding, who's marrying your old best friend all the way across the country
>you assume it's an attempt at make peace between the two of you, since you never got over it
>90% of the game is about your antics trying to cross the country as a complete deadbeat with no money, doing odd jobs/stealing things along the way to keep paying for the tickets
>all the while you keep having dreams about how great your ex-husband/wife was and how lovely and beautiful and perfect and whatnot.
>spoiler, neither of these characteristics are shown in the game
>after what feel like an eternity you finally arrive at their house
>he/she is utterly shocked by seeing you there
>turns out he/she never invited you, and never even wanted you there in the first place
>the invite was sent by your old best friend, who wanted to take the chance to rub your face in having taken your girl and doing much better than you in life overall
>he invites you to his bachelor party with the world's biggest shit-eating grin
And here's where this pile of garbage actually starts smelling:
>if you refuse and try to walk away from the entire thing while maintaining a shred of dignity, the cunt never shows up for the marriage ceremony. Your ex is left crying at the altar in the rain, and since you're the only one left there by the end you two come back together until it is revealed that the reason your friend never showed up is because mobsters killed him over gambling debts and hid the body.
