>buying from a shitty noname company compared to the largest and best CPU company in the world

Nah, I'm not stupid enough to do that. Nothing AMD made is worth the money except for poorfags and I'm not one.
>>
Intel is in full panic mode, regardless of if AMD is competitive or not intel will at least get off ass.

Imo AMD is back, and its great.
>>
>>379237764
This, and Intel is Jewish, so you know they're /ourguys/

>>
>>379237010
Yes. Ryzen just destroyed the i3 and i5.
im glad amd has made a come back
>>
i'd love intel to have some competition. i'm still not screwing my build over on $100 with a processor that struggles with emulators because of shit per core performance and stuff.
>>
>>379240773
G4560 destroyed i3.
i5 is still good for unoptimized games where single core performance matters which is pretty much fucking everything.
i7 is outdated since R5 and R7 are a thing.

And soon based in prices i9 will be useless since threadripper will be a thing.
Specially if the jewish move of the RAID key is true.
>>
>>379240942
im sure they will back pedal on the RAID key. it would be stupid if they didnt
>>
>>379241325
Its still a rumor anyway, i doubt intel is that retarded to try to make a move like that.

AMD has far more Poos on staff. They have to fix that before they can pull out of their nosedive.

Intel could make a 50+ core EZ Bake Oven from now until the next decade and still edge ahead.
>>
>>379237010
I can't watch a video where the person making the argument is walking the streets of a Chinese CBD with the sounds of vehicles and rain in the background for no apparent reason.

What the fuck.
>>
Why is Intel still releasing the i5's at same price point? 4 core 4 thread CPU's have been completely destroyed by Ryzen 5's at cheaper price points.
Buying a 1600x or 1700x is looking better and better for the mid range price point.
>>
>>379242112
play the video in the background, listen to what the fuck he is saying, that is what matters.
>>
>>379237010
Intel is dead.
Apple is going to buy Intel.
>>
>>379242491
Because multiple cores doesn't matter when it comes to videogames, what it matters is performance per core and will be for a long time.

How about linking to an article?

I don't have 30 minutes to spend watching e-celebs saying something that can probably be stated in a paragraph I could skim through in 30 seconds.

Basically in short, Intel is about to release new High end desktop platform, X299 and new CPU's with it.
The platform seems rushed and overall just poor reaction to the upcioming AMD's high end desktop X399 platform and new CPU's that come with it.
X299 Motherboards are full of different features that may or may not work if you don't have the most expensive CPU, which is bullshit. Also there is "DLC" to get hardware raid to work. Like little USB dongle just to enable it. That's not very consumer friendly practice.
>>
>>379245483
why do all these high tech companies have manufacturing/logistics in Israel? I work for a company that makes really expensive tools used in intel's supply chain, so I visit Israel every now and then for work, and it seems to me like every large tech company has a branch out there.
>>

Outside of agricultural goods, the USA has a free trade agreement with Israel. Stack that with a good amount of local, educated workers who can be paid relatively cheaply. It's a great place to open up a manufacturing plant for any western company to extend their supply chain.
>>
But I JUST switched to Intel god dammit, fuck this PC gaming bullshit I hate it
>>
>>379245728
Doubt it honestly
Ryzen 3 will perform better but I don't think they will come down to 50€
But time will tell

So what cpu to pair with my 1080Ti? Intel or AMD? All i do is play gaymes. Money won't be problem
>>

Intel. Nvidia fucked up their drivers with cpu overhead problems for DX12 on Ryzen.

Unless you care about the dip from 150 fps to 140 fps of headroom, which will likely close with bios updates and game optimizations to come, get an r5 1600.

If you want every frame you can possibly get, 7700k
If you want to save some money with a minor performance hit, 1600/
>>
>>379250513
The 1600 will even outperform the 7700k in a bunch of games
Also has better frametimes in many recent games
And it doesn't melt the socket
>>
>>379249459
AMD
Ryzen 5 1600 is currently the best CPU you can get
Ryzen 7 1700 is stronger, but more expensive and you won't really notice a difference in games
But useful for other stuff
Just pick either the 1600 or 1700

I thought that was pretty dumb as well, just sit on the damn chair and give your thoughts
and then that one shot when the camera takes a different crosswalk, for what?
Being so dramatic cause intel just wanted to sit on there margins
>>
>>379250616
The limiter has always been GPU drivers and whether you're on DX11 or DX12 or a fucking DX12 wrapper because the devs were too fucking lazy.
I would get the CPU that doesn't go all the fucking way to 90% or 100% usage just from a game, any time you see this it should scream CPU bottleneck at you. Looking at you, fucking Intel. With Ryzen out there's bottlenecks all over the fucking place.
>>
>>379250616
>The 1600 will even outperform the 7700k in a bunch of games
what games?
>>
>>379251009
Every game.
Ryzen isn't Sttuterlake with its "don't OC or else you'll kill your CPU" meme.
Way better minimums.
>>
>>379251160
the benchmarks i've seen have shown better performance on the 7700k, but then again i haven't seen many reviews. Do you know of a site that shows that the 1600 gets better minimums in every game?
>>
>>379251397
make sure those benchmarks are recent as bios updates for the ryzen motherboards matter right now.
>>
>>379249561
Apple will buy Intel
>>
>>379251397
Not that guy, but when it comes to the reviews I can never find any recent ones. Most of em are day one reviews and I don't really want to believe those ones since Ryzen is a new arch and needs adjustments still
>>
i9 was a fucking mistake but Intel is still pretty much dominating the rest of the average-user market.

AMD really needs more of this kind of publicity before they can close the gap in any meaningful sense.
>>
>>379246815
Superior Jewish intelligence.
>>
>>379251659
right, but ultimately, i can only buy a product based on what i know right now, not on what i expect it to be in the future. If rizen eventually surpasses intel in every way and benchmark possible, that would be great, but as of right now, the data i've seen says that in games, the i7 is better
>>
Really want to upgrade my CPU but Intel is fucking up hard and I refuse to buy AMD

Fuck
>>
>>379251993
>and I refuse to buy AMD
Why
>>
>>379251930
Yes I agree, from what I've seen the i7 does reach higher FPS, but ryzen does really will on the minimums on most games compared to i7.
>>379251993
I don't understand this mentality, I've always used both and have never had problems
>>
>>379252029
From past experience sucks in emulators and many games behave poorly with it either with random bugs and crashes to crippling slow down.

Also have an Nvidia GPU and I'm hearing that doesn't play nice with an AMD processor.
>>
>>379252159
>an Nvidia GPU and I'm hearing that doesn't play nice with an AMD processor.

lol this has been a myth since phenom2's came out.
>>
>>379252262
Not so. Look at the Tomb Raider fix, there's a video out showing an extensive look at what Nvidia GPUs fuck up on Ryzen.

YES yes yes,
boy am I glad I sold my 6700k before the price started plummeting kek
note that it takes on average 4/5 years to build a new design from scratch, and that AMD started doing that 4 or so years ago culminating in AMD Zen which is also very modular thanks to infinity thread which can glue different core units together
