Games with small but loyal followings generally aren't able to influence companies or put forth the money or talent needed for private servers. Plus, CoH was a niche game in a fairly niche genre, both in terms of gameplay and setting. Too many factors colluding against it, sadly.

As far as bang for your buck/repeatability, Xcom 2 beats them all. I'm a bit biased since I love the series, but it does have more options to play than the other choices.

MGS5 has extremley enjoyable gameplay but the story is unfinished, if you're just looking for great fun than its worth the money. XCOM 2 is also a fantastic game and will last you a long time if you like it and enjoy modding.
