Probably that crappy Mass Effect game that is upcoming.

Sad times.
>>
>>2067197
There are undoubtedly Western RPGs with /u/-related romance sidequests in production right now (as anons have pointed out already, the next ME game is the obvious example), but that's pretty much it. Business as usual.
>>
>>2067211
Good games get support, even when angry /v/-anons don't like it. That's just how it is.

>>2067197
Outside of western RPGs, no chance. Considered too risky as anything above side stuff for AAA devs. But then these people thought the new Battlefield trailer wouldn't be popular.
>>
>>2067213
>Good games get support

But this will get support, too, probably.
>>
>>2067197

>Western RPGs

If I recall correctly, Divinity: Original Sin 2 is supposed to have some kind of romance with your partner. And Torment also might include something like that, though I doubt it's going to be full-blown romance.

>>2067213
I wouldn't count BioWare's latest offerings as good games. Yet they have enormous fanbases.
>>
>>2067215
At least wait until a game actually _exists_ before declaring how much it sucks. I'm sure they'll give you ammunition in time.

I know kindred spirits sold really well in the west but what about Japan? It touched on things most Japanese Yuri fans never care about

>At least wait until a game actually _exists_ before declaring how much it sucks

It would take a complete 180 from their current ways (all of it. Not calling pandering or whatever, that's /v/'s shtick.).
I'm just going by track record. And the info we already got. Which isn't helping me build much confidence.
Of course, they COULD make a good game. Easily a great one. Thing is....see above

Yeah, I'm sure you know all about Japanese Yuri fans and all those things they never care about, since you're our resident expert in the field of Japanology.
>>
>>2067220
Well, it didn't feature on any sales ranking for 2012 so it wasn't any kind of hit relative to other eroge. Quite likely still sold above average for a Liar Soft game though.

How gay is Sakura Dungeon?

Does the mc end up with any girl?
>>
>>2067440
Its gay like really gay, the world is female only and yomi is literally the queen of lesbians. Game is a better version demon master chris
>>
>>2067443
>better version
no loli however.
>>
>>2067440
I'm pretty sure I'm near the end of it.

Game is girls only so everyone is a dyke. MC has tons of casual sex with the servants.

If you're talking about actual romance, I'm told the MC and the knight do end up together in the end. The romance between them thus far has been little more than teasing tho. There's a friend of the MC who is in love with her, but pretty sure that doesn't go anywhere. There's a random event where you meet two demons who are lovers, but you just beat them up and they go their merry way.
>>
>>2067540
There are several other events showing other side characters being lovers, as well as plenty of dialog about girls wanting other girls or talking about past female lovers.
If you're looking for some sweeping, epic love story then you won't find it there. But if you want lots of girls being really gay and having lots of sex with each other, then you're in luck.
>>
>>2067540
Is the MC an aggressor or the receiver?

>do people seriously fucking think that the people who make a game say to themselves "I don't want this game to unplayable when you aren't paying attention to it", "this is a game you can play without thinking"? Literal Idle RPGs and clickers aside (and I will never fucking understand those "games") can we just admit that sometimes a game just fails to be compelling?

It's true though. There are TONS of rpgs like this. Literally all those "hack'n slash" loot rpgs like Torchlight and whatnot are based around this. You don't have to pay a lot of attention in those games.
Any and all grinder are like that. Grind isn't just something that comes into existence by accident.
A lot of crawlers can also fall into this. Experience crawler for example tend to have RE you can speed through without even looking, though you may receive a wake-up call every now and then, but you usually see that at encounter start.

Depending on how strong these elements are, I call the games even "time-waster". Torchlight 1+2 are more or less the definition of that to me. Chris however does this as well, and reasonably well even. Not too frustrating, the grinding periods aren't too long and the battles have a basic system to them so you don't always just spam attack. It's however not a good system outside of that. Every battle is the same, bosses are little more than "grind checks" and so on. The most useful offensive ability is also pretty much "Attack", which is also an easy way to tell a turn-based system sucks. Those are usually at their best if the normal attack is never or only rarely useful. For a bunch of reasons.

How is the grind in Sakura Dungeon anyway?

I remember DMC getting so bad at times hacks were going around like crack.
>>
>>2067770
Depends on how you feel about grinds.
iIf you fight every random battle you shouldn't have a problem.
DMC really didn't feel very grindy when you had an auto fight button.
this game has an auto fight and a skip fight button.
>>
>>2067770
I'm playing on hard and it feels much more manageable than DMC. If you just fight wild battles normally, the bosses should be doable in one or two tries. Near the late middle to endgame, some of the bosses are pretty wild and you either have to grind a bit or come back at a later point.

There's a decent amount of luck involved too. If a strong boss happens to enter flow state really early, you can sometimes just be straight fucked.
>>
i've been playing dungeon for about 6 hours and i'm really enjoying it. it's not WC usual schlock where their reputation tends to precede them.

I haven't seen any mention of men and most of the girls tend to have some sort of lesbian tendency, ranging from crushes to sex, to mentions of past lovers. there are brightly colored dildos and anal in a lot of scenes if you can't stand those.

on normal mode i spend most of the battles on auto aside from boss monsters. some of the dungeons are a bit annoying, but the game does try to shake it up with new mechanics on each level. so far i haven't needed to grind on normal mode.

Dragon age inquisition was very good, and ME4 probably will be as well.

The main reason ME3 was bad was because they had no idea how to finish the plot started in ME1 and 2.
>>
>>2067838
They did have a good idea, but they fired the series' main writer and scrapped that idea. So they had to scramble and come up with something new instead.
Look up the dark energy ending if you want to learn more.
>>
>>2067838
>no idea how to finish the plot
where did they say that? it was obviously rushed after EA took over and wanted to push it out the door to maximize sales. look at the sheer difference in bioware titles pre-EA take over vs after.
>>
>>2067838

>>
>>2067886
Don't bother in Japan they manage to restrict some of the options to romance characters its why the game didn't sell well in Japan and fans got mad.
>>2067888
The main characters are Atilla,Tamamo, and Whore of Babylon just pick FeMC as always
>>
>>2067888
Confirmed to have gender selection, so for now it's probably safe to say as much as the PSP games. Probably won't know anything definite until after release.
>>
>>2067811
>hard

Are the difficulties this time different to just adding/removing grind? Hard in DMC really made no sense, as it just cut exp/ether in half..
>>
>>2067891
Not sure what you're trying to say, but if you mean the romance options in SN6 are limited, it is technically a crossover game using characters from past SN titles which might make it hard.
>>
>>2067907
Its not just limited the players get rejected as well
>>
>>2067443
>better
SD doesn't have that defence/rest/offence tactics DMC had which makes battles a lot less exciting and more dependent on luck or grinding or simply choosing the more efficient spells.
>>
>>2067849
>>2067856
>where did they say that?
It's fairly obvious that they didn't to anyone who's played the games. I don't care what the reason for that is.

>>2067860
My condolences on your shit taste.
>>
>>2067928

No. Def/Rest was more luck dependent. Plus the element was badly integrated anyway.

In the end you'd need to be high enough level to beat something. At that point you rest when you are low on AP, defend if you are high on AP and the enemy as well (which is the most fucking annoying part, as it's just a waiting game until the enemy FINALLY uses a high AP cost skill which can take a while..), and otherwise you mash the "Attack" skill, and pretty much nothing else.

As far as I understand it, they just lessened the annoying parts of DMC. I still have to play it myself, but all I heard so far doesn't sound worse, but rather better. I so hope the shitty "lol, low AP at start of encounter -> Enemy crits -> Clothes torn" thing will be gone. One of the reasons, why you actually had to be a decent level, as level influences crit-rate. If you aren't.. the dice just kicks you out of the dungeon sooner or later.
>>
Well, I just finished Sakura Dungeon and can confirm it's 100% yuri. No male characters at all, the closest thing to a male in the entire game are a couple dildos.
There's not too much in the way of romance, but everyone's gay and has a lot of sex.
>>
Fate/Extella confirmed localization

https://twitter.com/RPGSite/status/740228499391160320

Too bad CCC isn't getting translated. I'm gonna assume it's a whole new story then?
>>
>>2067988
How long did you take?
>>
>>2068004
Is there actual yuri in it? I know nothing about the FSN series.
>>
>>2067928
I didn't like the rock/paper/siccors aspect of it. Most of the time you just guarded until the enemy used a costly attack, then wail on them.

In SD, you either do the above, or you build your CP meter which triggers a super mode and you have to watch out for the bosses own CP meter. Plus there's the new stat aliments and attack types.

I'm not saying it's a marvel of the battle system, but I found it a lot more enjoyable than DMC's.

On an offhand note, has anyone played Touhou Dungeon 2? Fuck me, now that was a battle system that blew me away.
>>
>>2068018
My playtime is listed at ~26 hours, though some of that is from leaving it running in the background while doing other stuff. But there's a good 20+ hours of gameplay if you're a completionist and do some grinding, maybe more on harder difficulties.
All in all I found it quite enjoyable. Sure, a few things could've been done better, but it's a massive step forward from the developers.

>>2068318
Not that anon, but I also finished the game already (on abyssal, dunno if that even makes a difference) and unlocked all CG and party members (at least I think so), and I can say that there are no strapons.

I ended up dragging Sylvi and Maeve all the way into the endgame and EX even though they were crap, just so I could see more yuri dialogue. Maybe it's because I never used any seeds on anyone except Ceri, who became an immortal munchkin by the end. No scrolls used either as I wanted to keep slots open. Yeah, I'm a masochist.
Sylvi was consistently trying to openly flirt with MC all the way till the end, but I was a little disappointed that there wasn't really any Cera and Maeve yuri interaction that I was hoping to get. I dragged around Anubis and Ryuuou (which were great till the end unlike the other two) as well as the two main characters.

Might try to go through the cutscenes with a different set of characters and see if there are other yuri dialogue that I might've missed. So far I just avoided the dime-a-dozen party members since I assumed (perhaps wrongly) that the less personal characters would have less yuri dialogue.

Also I was hoping the reaper twins would've fucked each other (yeah we know they do, just no cgs), and for something between Ryuuou's servants Tatsu and Yori, which I felt were somewhat neglected.

God damn, been a long while since I've played these types of games without a guide. It really takes a lot longer, having to double/triple/quadruple/etc check everything to make sure I'm not missing anything (hopefully).

And I'm a little sad I can't recruit the Big Bad. Or anyone in the EX dungeon except the shitty scumbag bounty hunter. I at least wanted a cool mecha musume in my party if not her minions...
Seems Izanami doesn't seem to be recruitable either...

So, who was your favorite monster girl?
>>
>>2068342
I really like how we get to hear from each monster in party for almost all noteworthy events.
>>
>>2068341
I was also very disappointed by how little they used Sylvi. No outfits for her despite offering to wear things multiple times, no proper response from Yomi to her advances, and no real sex scenes. I also used her to the end, but felt she more or less pulled her weight. And I used the seeds mostly to buff Yomi, who becomes insanely powerful with good stats - one crit can send her into Flow.

As for other party members, I used the Sword Witch for a while after capturing her, and she had a lot of flirty lines and mentions of past lovers. And everything the Succubus says is sexually charged. I wish we could've run a bigger party, just to read more dialog from the companions.

Hermione/Snape had a huge fanfic following to begin with and the game played right into some of its favorite tropes, so the people it attracted were more likely to write about it.

She's near the end, the floor before the final boss.

I really wanted to take the bitchy noblewoman all the way, but it seems that the monsters only have dialogue for two or three floors after their join level, which I suppose is pretty understandable.

Still. That scene with her and the hammer was pretty cute I guess.

Fox Mikos and Monks become regular enemies a couple floors after you first encounter them. You meet the Succubus again as one of the final bosses, and she's automatically recruited after you beat her then.

You do notice a higher drop rate for scrolls and seeds, but it's not a massive boost. And given how big a deal they make about the statue, yeah, it's kind of underwhelming.

>While their dialogue lasted

This is annoying. You keep a favorite monster and they just stop talking after a while.
>>
>>2069007
Annoying, but kind of understandable. I somehow doubt Sakura Dungeon had a big budget and a large team. It would take a lot of time and effort to write reactions for every monstergirl for every event. And, really, how many people are going to take Boar all the way to the endgame anyway?
>>
>>2069007
Even worse is that you inevitably miss some comments because your party can't hold more members. They should have all the messages display if you have the monster captured but not in your party.
>>
>>2069022
>They should have all the messages display if you have the monster captured but not in your party.
100% this.
Imagine my frustration when I had to bank the angel right after getting her because she had about 3 lines before her vow of silence . I ended up banking Yomi very early because no matter what she'd always appear in every dialogue anyway. I found myself saving and reloading going back and forth to the town with new girls to see any dialogue change, only to remember how mediocre the writing is anyway. At least Bonny made me smile.

Well, I guess it was worth fansubbing the trial version of Hakuai after all. I also fansubbed the whole 5 hour demo of Lilycle Rainbow Stage!!!, which just got released 2016-4-28. Maybe that'll get picked up next year too.

Just two things I have from looking at what was posted on steam: The main heroine is named "Asuka," not "Asky," and the steam description could've been worded much better, as the semi-colon got misused several times (probably punctuation errors in the game as well). Despite that, the translation looks all right after comparing the original with the posted photos.

Even if I didn't know Japanese, I'd still risk checking out Hakuai. The slice of life with Asuka as the lead, silly as she is, is quite fun and endearing.

Asuka: Ms. Ohara brushed my bangs aside with her fingers and... her lips touched my forehead.

Using lines like (she glows) instead of *glows* should be fixed. The way they have it now makes it sound like something the character whispers or is thinking rather than something they're doing.
>>
>>2070205
To be honest that's pretty clumsy as well. It should just be added in as its own line of narration. The thought makes her cheeks bloom blah blah blah. Emotes aren't exactly appropriate in any kind of prose you'd be expected to pay for, barring some extreme stylistic decision to make your prose emulate twitter comments which hardly seems the case here.

I dunno if the Japanese version was equally incompetent on this point though.
>>
>>2070211

It's actually sometimes expressed in Japanese. Which can't really be translated. It's because Japanese kinda use.. "soundeffects" and such in their speech anyway. I.e. "doki doki", which everyone should know. If a character just says that, outside of a sentence, it pretty much implies they feel like that.. for the most part at least. How realistic that is.. I have no idea. But it happens in fiction at least. As a translation you should probably just make another sentence to showcase that emotion. Or something like that.

Finished Seabed and wow what a ride it was in the second half. To be honest I kinda expected more mystery and it ended up being 90% SoL, but I like that too so didn't mind at all.

Although I'm left with a feeling that Narasaki was the main character, especially in the latter parts. I mean, technically speaking it's no different, but still.

And yeah, I don't think I read anything like this before, definitely not in /u/-related stuff.
>>
Can you all explain to me what is so peculiar about Seabed? As fard as I know, it's a story of a couple who fall out of love due to one of them gradually losing her memory of the other, and is predominantly a series of flashbacks, the current life of each girl and their friends, right?
>>
>>2070539
While losing - or, rather, restoring memories is a major plot point in the game, the story is completely different although what you said did actually happen to one of the side characters a long time ago. But it's true that there's quite a lot of flashbacks and in present time the main characters have their separate stories. If you want some spoilers, scroll https://tanoshimi.xyz/2016/04/16/ever17-review/ below all of the blabber to where the actual review begins, it has a nice synopsis (yes, that's somehow the correct URL).

The story is kinda unexciting between the prologue and the midpoint - but the characters are nice so to me it was fun to read the daily life scenes (I can easily see how that may be boring to others, though) and the story does pick up steam towards the end - with one big twist that you don't quite see coming because you're looking elsewhere.

Aside from the mystery, you don't often get a story about a mature yuri couple in the first place, and there's some office hijinks, mansion hijinks, lots of traveling, some mildly philosophical contemplations and a lot of discussions about mundane things. And the eerie aura of "just how far does the rabbit hole go". I don't think I can explain it well, but it's definitely something different, to the point where whether you think it's good or not at all is even more ridiculously subjective than usual.
>>
>>2070678
Soooo, do they get back together in the end? Or do they continue with their respective lives and new lovers? And only one ending? Can't read moon and I shy away from those kind of plots, but I gotta know if they get their happy ending.
>>
>>2070707
The ending is very bittersweet and whether you consider it a happy ending or not is subjective to your view on the essence of the characters in the story; the same goes for the getting together part. It's not a non-ending though, everything's properly resolved. And they definitely still very much love each other by the end of it. Also yes, there's only one ending, there are no choices in the game and frankly speaking it's just a normal novel accompanied with music and pictures.

Sure is hard to talk about this game without outright spoiling the entire plot...

If you look at it realistically, it's a game that before the recent Doujin game of the year conference (where it did win in the roughly speaking SoL category) sold just 200 copies (~1000$). And there's ~11 hours of Japanese text. Nobody would ever bother.

Then again, if you can convince the devs and have at least one more translator, I could find the time to help out.
>>
>>2071332
The devs have already rebuffed suggestions of putting it on sale on the English dlsite as is, so it'd be an uphill battle to convince them to actually get it translated.

Even if you did, I still hold doubts on whether the writing style can be replicated. Not that it's impossible to translate, but doing so while keeping that aloof feeling for the entire game is going to be quite a feat.
>>
>>2071344
Of course the writing style can't be replicated, but then it's always the case when you actually have a distinct writing style in the original text. Doesn't really stop stuff from being translated, just puts a burden on translating/editing to maintain some important aspects. You'll lose something, it's unavoidable, but you gain a wider reach which is I'd say worth it.

In this particular case, the one thing you'd have to keep in mind is that it's written more like the person who's narrating is reading a diary rather than retelling the events, that probably helps create said aloof feeling. So as long as that's maintained it's pretty translatable, and it's not a very Japanese story in the first place which makes things easier in regards to localization.

But if the devs don't want it, can't be helped. And as it's a doujin game with few sales as it is, having an unofficial patch would likely hurt more than it could help.

In other game-related stuff, pretty fun that there is actually a NSFW CG in the game archive that's not in the game itself

There will most likely be a pirated copy floating around and even the few people who could've bought it would just download it, including, probably, Japanese players. Seriously, if it was just a bit more popular this wouldn't have been a problem, but just 200 sales...

Maybe I'm wrong though, I'm usually on the opposite side of this argument.
>>
>>2071445
So, rather than risk them pirating it, you'd rather things remain as they are, with nobody buying it.

I'm trying not to be sarcastic here. They only got 200 sales because of lack of exposure. More exposure isn't going to hurt them any, especially at this point.
>>

Looking at e-hentai gallery, I've got no idea why vndb is saying it is girls love only when there's clearly a hetshit bondage scene. But other than that, it seems as though it actually contains a romance between two girls. Also, the het girl dies.

Few people have played all the games in order to tag vote accurately. They make guesses.

If it's MOSTLY yuri and has an incidental het scene, it might still qualify as a low rating on the yuri-genre tag scale. Anything less than 2.0 is a questionable qualifier, as far as I know, and therefore might include futa, or have almost no romance at all. Anything less than 1.0 is probably "yuri-ish with strong reservations". At least, in an ideal world where a lot of people were voting.

VNDB defines "Yuri" as "contains female to female sex scenes", the existence of notyuri should not affect the score unless the people tagging with it are doing so incorrectly. Mostly yuri with one het scene could very easily be a 3.0, in the same way that a VN with a lot of het and a single yuri scene would still qualify as a 3.0 for whatever het tags it has.

There are tags for only yuri (Girls Love Only) and tags for romance between girls (Shoujo Ai) but that second one is not used nearly as often as it should be, I assume due to its name. The aliases for it are Yuri Romance and Girls Love which fit much better but I don't know who calls the shots when it comes to that stuff so I don't know who to blame.

SubaHibi for example has a 2 in Yuri but does not have Shoujo Ai listed at all despite all (3?) of the yuri sex scenes being at the end of different romantic routes with gay endings. SubaHibi also has 500 votes, so it isn't like it is undertagged due to unpopularity.

>in the same way that a VN with a lot of het and a single yuri scene would still qualify as a 3.0 for whatever het tags it has

Yeah, but it wouldn't qualify as a 3.0 for Yuri if it was just the one scene.

If a game is tagged Girls Love Only but has only a 1.0 or less in that tag, it probably contains some het or is all futa or something. Something that makes it relevant to the yuri genre but not a proper example.

It's impossible to have a binary tag (either TOTALLY YES or TOTALLY NO) on that system, and there's nobody in charge, so it all boils down to how people use it.

I know a lot of people don't bother to tag a game 'Shoujo Ai' if it already has the Yuri tag on it. I don't think you're actually required to tag it Shoujo Ai if it has Girls Love Only because it's a nested tag, though I'm not sure. And of course when some tags are added later than others people don't think to go back and tag previous works, and if a game is already covered in tags people don't necessarily bother adding every possible tag that matches... and my personal opinion of what the tags mean isn't going to match every other user, and so on.

basically you can't expect it to be completely accurate, just a ballpark

>>

>>
>>2071605
>Yeah, but it wouldn't qualify as a 3.0 for Yuri if it was just the one scene.

Well yeah, of course. Generally anything that only contains one small example of something should not and will probably not be a 3.0 unless that thing is very specific and/or rare, or just one person is tagging it wrong.

Ideally something that is rated 1.0 Girls Love Only would still be only yuri, but the romance would be secondary or not very important to the work as a whole, maybe even have an equal gender ratio cast but no het and some yuri. Of course that does not mean it will work out that way, but that is how it should be. If you are ever not sure if a tag actually applies or not you can check to see who has tagged it and what they tagged it as, and consider things with one positive vote suspicious and things with positive and negative to be probably wrong.

Yeah, adding Shoujo Ai on something that fits under Girls Love Only would be slightly incorrect since the later is just a more specific version of the former, but Shoujo Ai/Girls Love Only can still coexist with the Yuri tag under vndb's definitions and guidelines. But of course as we have said if people think Yuri and Shoujo Ai are the same tag, or just (rightfully) dislike the term Shoujo Ai, it is unlikely to be used where it should be.

USUALLY if something is very popular the tags will be accurate but not always, if something only has a few votes you might want to take a look at the modify tags tab to see the number of people voting on those tags. This has the disadvantage of revealing spoiler tags to you though.

>>2071957
Is it, like, an otome or is it just not romance-related?

If the lead girls are at least friends that's just fine by me, though
>>
>>2072008
Shoujo Ai in reference to light/non-explicit yuri is a category invented by the Western fanbase that has no basis in Japan. Japan doesn't differentiate between explicit and not, yuri is yuri. And 'shoujo ai' refers to pedophilia in Japan (literally 'love of little girls.')
>>
>>2072008
Yuri is also known as GL or Girls' Love.
Then some weaboo came along and thought he watched enough animu to be an expert in Nipponese and decided to translate Girls' Love to Shoujo Ai (girl -> shoujo, love -> ai) which supposedly means something more like pedophilia.
Since the japs don't use it, there is no reason why others should either since it just unnecessarily makes things more confusing and retarded.
>>
>>2072011
Not romance related, and at least in the first game, almost zero time spent on the friendship bonding that the description would lead you to expect.

So yes, they are friends, but you don't really get to enjoy that either. They're basically just a framing device for the real story, NOT the lead characters.

I haven't seen a detailed breakdown of milestone 2 yet.
>>
>>2072008
You have to go back to the history of the term to understand this.
Back when Yuri and Yaoi started as genres, they were used to describe all the type of stories no matter how explicit or not they were. On the other side, Shoujo Ai (lit. Girl Love) and Shonen Ai (lit. Boy Love) were first used in Japan to mean Lolicon and Shotacon respectively (and straight in both cases, no relation to Yuri or Yaoi). I think somewhere in the 70s some Japanese mangaka and editors started slowly appropriating Shonen Ai to describe and advertize stories that featured something best described as romantic friendships between guys. This use of the term stuck, and nowadays both Shonen Ai and Yaoi are used in Japan (though not necessarily to differentiate between how explicit a work is). On the other hand, Shoujo Ai didn't undergo such a semantic drift, and to this day is still understood as Lolicon in Japan.

Later on when Yaoi was imported in the West, the terms Yaoi and Shonen Ai were used to differentiate between explicit and non-explicit works. Then later again it was Yuri's turn to be imported in the West, and by folk etymology the terms Yuri and Shoujo Ai were used to differentiate between explicit and non-explicit works, in a similar way as Yaoi and Shonen Ai were already used.

As you can see some anons apparently consider this usage of Shoujo Ai an heresy, apparently forgetting that languages have been borrowing words from each others and changing their meaning for millenia, and that neither Japanese nor English are exceptions to this phenomenon.
>>
>>2072011
The devs have explicitly said they don't want it to be yuri, so while most of the characters are girls, it's not going to go that direction.
>>
>>2072036
If you've been around long enough you may also remember way back when people were differentiating between 'hentai' and 'etchi' - by which they meant the really HARDCORE stuff, since that word sounded scarier than hentai did. for a while on the big sites, "etchi" was /d/ and then some.
>>
>>2072058

While I understand your point about language divergence, adopting standards established by ignorance is not a good idea.

Eg. If some plebs who know nothing about flowers start calling lilies "blue roses" and popularize this misnomer, they'd still be incorrect no matter how popular the term gets among the ignorant. It wouldn't be too big a deal if "blue roses" weren't used by anything, but certain roses are called "blue roses" too.

As the English language has no regulating body deciding its standards, what is "correct" English is essentially what has become common usage. Shoujo Ai's case is in no way unique, you can find in any English dictionary words that are directly taken from other languages where they mean something different. But since these words have been used like that in English for sometimes centuries, today nobody cares or even knows.

>>2072154
Yes, I know this is how living languages work. That doesn't mean you shouldn't resist dumb changes. "Literally" as a word has lost all usefulness because people constantly use it when they want its opposite meaning "figuratively" for example. So if I say that I literally ate my hat in anger, you can't even tell if I'm exaggerating or I actually did cut up my hat, battered the pieces, deep fried it and downed it with wine, because both meanings have equal weight in "common usage".
>>
>>2072269

Most of the Sakura Dungeon CG are random hookups, even if the other party has genuine interest in the character they have a scene with. There are a few scenes that are exceptions though. In EoWC, I have taken it upon me to finish all quests and sidequests to get all the endings while I'm working in a place far from the calamities of the world (including the internet). However, I'm currently stuck on one of Louni's endings, the Marquesse of Eltswhere ending. I've tried consulting the guide, though to no avail. The problem seems to be that I cannot change my outfit to that of the outlaw queen, my outfit remains the same default one, and Louni doesn't react on this giving me the same Empress ending over and over. Are there any solutions to this?

Thanks in advance.

It's been a long while, but I remember Louni has this weird love point system: she would only trigger some events if you got enough of them. I also remember that getting one of her endings again and again would trigger a different one after a while because of this. I don't know if that has anything to do with the specific ending you're trying to get though.

Is the thing to change your outfit bugging out (like giving you the option to get the outfit but not actually doing aything) or does it only give your the option to change into you underwear? I have this faint memory of having to use different locations to change your outfits, although I'm not sure.

Louni's the worst girl either way.

I remember that you have to become the Outlaw Queen by joining with some thugs. I don't remember how to do it though.

Got you sister.
Go talk to the bluesmith that took your dress, he should be at the right of the castle. Make sure you've done the outlaw queen event first.

Need a new thread in the next couple of days, what's the latest news other than Nurse Love Addiction?

That's fairly ridiculous, neechan. Being worried that they won't accept your gaijin card is a much bigger worry. They're quite trustworthy.

Highway Blossoms is imminent unless it gets a last-minute delay

Hopefully it's just to fix the editing and awkward localization choices. Otherwise, this might be a reason to question the translation quality. Hopefully this won't be the Flowers demo all over again.

It's supposed to get a couple new CGs too, so there might be some more yuri in them.

There's a yuri crowdfund called reach for the stars https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1803745874/reach-for-the-stars-a-yuri-visual-novel

Winter Wolves releasing free DLC (with new romances) for PSCD?
>>
>>2073145
I looked into that kickstarter and it seems that the person behind it is quite well known on lemmasoft for not finishing their projects, before moving on to other projects that they also don't finish.

What? Are they making all the characters bbw now?
>>
>>2073159
No, the artist's style keeps changing slightly and they're doing full body sprites this time. What's also at play here is getting this first part in line with the rest of the upcoming 3 parts.

According to dev's twitter
>The first patch is free and updates the UI, all art up to 1440p, full body sprites, new animations and a couple new CGs for free

>Second patch is the VA patch which adds some 2000 lines of voice acting, for every character and narrator, this will be $4.99

Looks like there is some but I'm highly doubtful that it is worth playing for the yuri alone.

There are guys though?

Yes, I don't recommend buying it, but it's otherwise playable and can be quite fun. Its gameplay is like Neptunia, just more in depth and honestly better. Still not without flaws, the whole moe-killing stuff was pretty bad, but otherwise not bad. On PC that is, I've heard the Ps3 performance is rather bad.
