that's the joke faggot
I just finished binge watching this trilogy, and it made me realize something. Each movie has very VERY minor elements from the comic books.
Begins has elements from Year One.
The Dark Knight had elements from The Long Halloween.
The Dark Knight Rises had elements from Knightfall and The Dark Knight Returns
This trilogy was good, but it had so many missed opportunities. It could have been adaptations of Year One, The Long Halloween, and The Dark Knight Returns in order.
Not direct adaptations, but it could have borrowed more heavily from them.
First movie
>Batman origin story
>introduces Catwoman
>Batman's relationship with Gordon develops
>movie ends with Harvey Dent being deformed
Second movie
>more or less follows the adventures of Batman, now a more developed hero, fighting a super villain like Two-Face, instead of corruption like the first movie
>works with Catwoman throughout the movie, similar to TLH
>works with Gordon, with whom he now has a strong relationship, like TLH
>something causes him to go into exile in the end
Third movie
>Batman returns, now older and weaker
>Reunites with Catwoman, also older, but their love for each other is still there
>Main villain could be the Joker, and Two-Face could make a cameo in the beginning, like The Dark Knight Returns
TL;DR introducing Catwoman earlier, and introducing villains in a different order would make this trilogy so much better
This would be great, but DC would fuck it up with CGI, shoehorned comic book references, and terrible dialogue.
I like the idea of borrowing vague elements instead of direct adaptations, though.
Comics don't usually translate to film very well.
Bumping for discussion.

No one reads comics on /tv/. It's why every cape thread is embarassing

is physical analog illumination better than digital color correction?
blue color correcting works so well but golly gosh I don't like it
All films are color corrected and graded. The problem is when people think desaturated/blue = gritty real dark bullshit that every film has to have.
There is nothing wrong with colourful films.

since oh brother where ar thou that is
Anyone seen this? Is a musical where they sing all their dialogs. Great visuals and so comfy.

Just finished this series, really liked it.

Great, probably one of the best five new shows from last year. Too bad Season 2 and 3 are getting pushed back to 2018.

Shit with the Kardashian kids was really cringey and way too wink-wink
After years of hearing so many good things about this film, I sat down and watched it, and HOLY FUCK, this movie is "baby's first edge."
>>Twist you can see a mile away.
>>Looked how fucked up we can be? Woooooah, we're so deep!
Is it possible that it was better when it came out? Because I was pretty unimpressed.
M A S T E R P I E C E
it's not an american movie so it doesn't rely on being edgy or having le unpredictable twist, but thats what you think it is since those are the movies you usually watch
>>79279140
How was the twist predictable? Literally nothing revealing is depicted about the characters until the end
