First episode was by far the best episode of the series and it's just been alternating between bland and utter shit ever since.

Good question, the beginning of the series was awesome and surrounded about how people interact and come together in a post apocalyptic scenario
however since "the governor" they fell into a dynamic where its always about to find the next worst enemy
like DBZ always comes up with a stronger enemy ITS OVER 9000
so they lost basic touch of survival and fell into the drama cycle to keep the audience in, but it just gets worst needing more pointless drama and shock value to keep it up

They've made a change to that. The pit activates a dial (that is absolutely controlled by someone and not random at all but we'll pretend it's random) that chooses between lowering the pit or sending the house robots loose on for 10 seconds. The catch is it can only be used once per fight, so if you press it you risk the house robot's fucking your shit up and never being able to use the pit.
