Due to an unfortunate multiversal accident, you have been transported to the last setting you played in. Even more unfortunately, you've been transported there before time, when only the gods existed. And, because the accident was really quite bad, those gods are all currently around thirteen years old in terms of mental maturity.

You will be released if you can somehow prevent them from destroying reality before it even starts. They retain most of their godlike powers in an extremely weakened form—IE, the god of plague can now cause the sniffles, the god lies is now particularly good about making up excuses for why they don't have their homework, and so on.

Can you accomplish this task?

Ain't no gods in the Star Wars galaxy. Just hokey religions.

I've got no clue. The last setting I played in was a homebrew one where the GM never designed any gods, but they supposedly still existed since there were clerics and paladins.

Traveller.

I haven't played a lot, but the fact that the all game revolve around one crew is cool.
Everybody has it's place, even the gunfight guy ; he can man the turrets, or ready the counter-boarding.

Storytime ?
>Free Trader PC ship close in on distress signal
>Obviously fake, pirates try to attack them.
>Free Trader only has one weapon, who cost a lot of money.
>Of course with unlucky rolls, after one round, the weapon is disabled.
>The pirates try to close in to board, but can't because the pilote of the FT is making it difficult.
>PCs said "Fuck it, we can't escape, we do not have weapon anymore, there is only one thing to do"
>"Ram" the pirate ship to board it.
>The NPC Highclass safari hunter they have aboard take his rifle to help.
>The pirate ship was in bad shape and with fewer crew than usual
>Violent fight, half the party is injuried, and one badly by the Aslan pirate captain.
>They loot the cargo, 90 tons of spice.
>I can see the dollar sign in their eyes.

Tl;dr :
The point in my story is that in traveller, if done right, space combat isn't juste "combat" ; it's more than just firing on another ship until it falls other or looks like a little sun ; it's about why and how wage combat.

What would a Hypercubical Sudoku look like?
Wait no, scratch that too few SAN to begin with.

Would it be solvable?
27 posts and 6 images submitted.
>>
>>46685312
Yes, why wouldn't it be?
Any puzzle that has clear and consistent rules and sufficient clues can be solved.

But keep in mind that even 2d sudoku isn't just "randomly populate square, randomly remove X cells".
Cube sudoku is going to obviously be harder (..and ironically, trying to apply easily googled "how to make" guidelines from 2d sudoku will require you 4th dimensioning your cube in process)
Then shit gets even harder for hypercube sudoku.
And hyperhypercube? Insane.

But hey, lets try taking it step. by. step.

Gentlemen, how about we make a 3d cube sudoku?
>>
>>46685674
>Gentlemen, how about we make a 3d cube sudoku?
Lets see then.

A cube is 9x9x9 in cells.
But it's not as easy as stacking nine squares.
This gives us only one axis of successful sudoku.
They must also work in other two axes.
That's quite a lot of cross-dependency.

Talk to the DM about what kind of character to run.

Maybe there's a place for a well-informed guide for the party.
Maybe you just ought to be a mute mercenary.
Maybe the best option is to do something solo with the DM until their finished.

Rohypnol.

Alternatively, saturate yourself with another system's modules so your brain gets confused on the details. And deliberately don't think about this module.

>>46685130
Hit yourself in the head with a brick until you forget.
Alternatively, just chill the fuck out. Let other players take the initiative when doing shit and only use your metagame knowledge when absolutely necessary.

Or instead of being That Guy who read the entire book and metagames, you could decide to be That Guy who totally derails the DM's game.

Whatever happened to the days of hardcore roleplaying where you could expect to reroll your level 1 character literally every session because they died until finally you got lucky enough to survive to level 2 and beyond?

Why is everyone so scared about killing off the PCs when they fuck up, are too stupid to figure things out, or they roll badly?

Why does everyone want their tabletop to be like a videogame where death is just an inconvenience because you know you'll "respawn" in a few seconds? What ever happened to true consequences of character death where you had to spend lots of time rolling up a new character, or you would be a level 1 among a party of level 15 PCs?

Roleplaying has gone to shit in my time. It's too influenced by video games. Table top should be it's own thing. The quality of gamers have gone down too. I noticed this mentality of handling PCs with kid gloves has gone hand in hand with streamlining the rules, too - so stupid people can play the game as well. I remember the golden times when everybody else I shared the table with took advanced math.

Is there any game or group out there that can cater to my tastes?

A good amount of people decided that interactive storytelling is more fun when you have time to explore your character and the world without having to hard restart every week.

There are also people who are too attached to a particular self insert or waifu character, but I'm not going to get into that.

>Is there any game or group out there that can cater to my tastes?
Sure. You could take a look at Funnel World or just be straight with prospective players or DMs about what you expect or want from them.
>>
>>46684280
>Roleplaying has gone to shit in my time. It's too influenced by video games. Table top should be it's own thing.

You're not going to get roleplaying being it's own thing when you want it to copy how roguelike and roguelite games keep killing off PCs until a player gets lucky.

If you want roleplaying to be different to video games, that means focusing on things that video games can't do. That means encouraging roleplay. Constantly killing off PCs discourages roleplay because players don't expect the PCs to live long, so they stop caring about anything beyond the statblock. A character that is only seen as a statblock is the stuff of video games.

>Is there any game or group out there that can cater to my tastes?

Probably. I hope you find a group that you enjoy.
>>
>>46684280
>smart people are playing the game
>they notixe that the game is too clunky, and the same things can be done with much simpler crunch without losing the essentials
>they decide to modify it, so that it becomes less clunky
>the game gets streamlined, removing superfluous elements and adhering to KISS principle
>becomes more friendly to newcomers, because there are less crunch traps, meaning more stupid people can enjoy it
Wow, you are dropping all these truth bombs harder than your mom falls on her ass. It's like fucking earthquake here.

Just because stupid people can enjoy the game doesn't mean that the game is bad. In fact, it means the game is good.
After all, dumb and smart people alike can enjoy chess, go and poker precisely because they are easy to learn, hard to master.
The problem is that those games are competitive, not cooperative, meaning the stupidest member of your party is the lowest common denominator.
The answer to this is simple - don't play with dumb people, if you don't enjoy it, you fucking idiot.

I swear, if it's not fantasy racism or lewd shit, it'a dumb complaining over nothing.
What has /tg/ become?
At least be creative in your shitposting, goddammit.

To bad Red Corsairs dont look like pirates.

Orkz flashgitz have pirate hats and kaptain badrruk and plenty of alternative sites that sell bits

Dark eldar can be converted with Dark Elf Corsairs as well as the Black Fleet Master and their troop transport has literal sails

Snatch a stolen uniform off of one of the corpses of one of their patrols, hijack a vertibird, make a few speech checks and then blow them all up. Whelp, that was easy. Supermutants shoot down Brotherhood Vertibirds like it's going out of style anyway so I'll let them clean up any stragglers.

I am a DND3.5 plater and now learning PF

I found that a cleric in PF, can use unlimited times of 0 level spell. And create water is a 0 level spell.

Assume a 1 level cleric work 8 hr a day and cast one create water per 6 seconds.
He can produce 2x10x60x8=9600gallon of water a day

And according to Starvation and Thirst rules, " a Medium characters need at least a gallon of fluids and about a pound of decent food per day to avoid starvation. (Small characters need half as much.) In very hot climates, characters need two or three times as much water to avoid dehydration."

So a cleric can produce water for a whole desert town with thousands of population.

is that a bit stupid or I misunderstand it ?

Yes, that is correct. In all likelihood, however, even desert settlements will be built around water sources. Otherwise when your cleric dies or leaves town to go adventure they'd all die of dehydration.
>>
>>46682769
>is that a bit stupid
It's Pathfinder. If you break the game with a cantrip, the designers will just say it's magic so of course it's meant to be powerful.
>>
>>46682769
It's a cleric. They aren't casting magic, their god is performing miracles through them.
And any self respecting god is far more likely to lead the settlement to a water source.
