What are the negative effects of male circumcision? I was circumcised and after reading about it I got really bummed out because of things like reduced sensory function and alleged effects on infant brain formation. Ended up really wishing I wasn't circumcised but there's literally nothing I can do about it, that just bugs me. I feel mutilated even.

Nobody knows more except on what you mentioned.
Another thing is the obvious psychological problems in the man's life, just like your post.

But real physical problems then it would just be not enough masturbation and having too much old sperm because circumcised men masturbate less than the uncircumcised because of the obvious lube thing.

But then again a circumcised man can masturbate on the low end of the penis.
My only hypothesis on this is that a circumcised man's penis COULD be a lot skinnier if said man masturbates on the lower end a lot.

But no one has done any studies because of privacy things and such, as well we would have to test it on a recent kiddo that JUST started puberty and blah blah blah.

Part of the issue with trolling on /sci/ is often, like in a large portion of that thread, there's valuable discussion started by anons with each other, ignoring the bait. You'll get a few responses seriously addressing the troll OP, but then it usually turns into everyone laughing at the idiots and discussing ideological differences or taking shits on each others' field, saying that X is better than Y at understanding phenomenon Z.

i think it helps with pattern recognition and data parsing
even if you're not actively applying formulas, you're teaching your brain abstract connections between things you encounter, and that helps not generalize and gloss over a lot of experiences you have in life

You guys mixed up your shifts or what? There's already a race bait thread.
>>
1.) clearly defined boundaries between "races" are a social construct. there are definitely groups of people tied by genetics, but there is overlap with nearby groups and so on.

2.) there are minor differences between groups and they show at the highest level. the differences don't make much of a difference at average levels in large groups.

3.) citation needed for such a bold claim

4.) even if we are different, thinking in terms of groups and not individuals is very un-American and very old fashioned.

The oldest university on earth (Nalanda University in India had had 10,000 students, 2,000 staff, and people from all over the Eastern/some western world. (Created around year 500 I believe)

It was burned down in 1193 by the Turks because the library didn't have a copy of the Quoran/Koran. It was reestablished 800 years later.

Something similar happened to the Muslims though. I believe the Library of Alexandria was burned down by the Christians too. If it wasn't burned down, we could've been on the moon way earlier.

Can anyone on /sci/ help me find suicide rates among Trans people in the US, and EU?
You don't have to link me an individual study just which websites I should go to, because atm I'm having trouble finding a source for the EU.
also pls no /pol/ shitposts, I just want to read up on this for class next week. thanks.

Do you know where I could possibly find a source similar to the one you posted but of trans adolescent suicide rates, and or depression rates?

What books are the Spivak Calculus equivalent to algebra, analytical geometry and analysis? The best books for these subjects til undergrad level.
8 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
>>9142567
I used Carothers' book for real analysis and found it pretty similar in style to Spivak. It also segues quite well.
Analytic geometry is not something anyone studies in university. Maybe a little bit in calc 3.
In terms of style of writing the closest algebra book is probably Herstein.
>>
>>9142575
By equivalent I meant the GOAT books on these subjects. Sort of all like how Spivak is put up whenever Calculus is mentioned.

Suppose spaceship A departs from planet B and then returns to planet B at rest.
During the trip, from A's perspective, planet B is undergoing time dilation, thus planet B's clock is running slower. From planet B's perspective, the spaceship is the one undergoing time dilation, thus spaceship A's clock is running slower.
Once spaceship A returns to spaceship B and compares clock times, we have both that B < A from A's perspective and A < B from B's perspective, a contradiction.

If you're going to run something like this, you have to also disprove the resolution to the paradox. I.e. relativistic doppler shift.

Any possible argument implying it should be A>B can be reversed in the same way that to imply that B>A. This is really what it means that "the laws of physics apply to all references frames"
