You're an idiot. You can get gear that flows well and then stay hydrated. I've had no issues in high heat, high humidity days. I keep a small lunchbox with those reusable ice packs and some gatorades and some waters in it.
If you can't handle the heat don't ride.
Road rash can actually kill you, takes a long time to recover from and they use a metal wire brush to scrub the gravel out of your skin.

how much perforation do your leathers have? I'm not the fittest bloke but had no trouble on a 38 c day wearing the full suit, just had to drink a lot of water.

Wear one of those free-flowing sports shirts underneath it and the wind will come through fine.

I also have a mesh jacket for summer commuting that flows brilliantly and has CE armour in it.

Would never wear a helmet only for safety.

Sure, if I don't have leathers on I can't point my knee and lower half out and it messes with your body position.

The moment I got leathers and wasn't afraid of banging my kevlar jeans on road reflectors anymore my body position kind of just snapped into place, still working on fixing it up obviously. (I'm gonna try and get into the elbow connected to knee thing most racers do) but it helps a lot and it immediately makes sense why people started sticking their knees out in the first place.

No leathers are not as comfortable as riding without them, they never will be but for any spirited riding I'd like to have them even if I wasn't scraping because I mean, you don't decide when to crash.

oh my bad, the full one piece thing was just because I found 2 pieces in my budgetary range rather uncomfortable and I had been advised by some people in the know that one piece is the way to go.

That suit came up for like 350 dollars off at the local brick and mortar so I just jumped on it.

I will say it's a little bit inconvenient when you're stopping for a drink to do the "one piece dance" and get the top half off while you're sitting but I really didn't like the zipper seams to connect the lowers the uppers on the 2 pieces.

I said fuck it, and bought a mesh jacket with armor in it.

If I crash, it's gonna be on gravel in a corner at low speed, or getting rear ended at a stop light. I'll take the risk.

Wire tap connector, Tee connector.
Automotive stores will have crimp fittings you could use to achieve the same thing. Or just twist and tape and solder it later when you could be fucked.

Just came back from a night ride.

Pretty sure I'm on the terror watch list now. I was exploring the roads near the army base and airport and ended up taking a bunch of roads that led into the base. Pulled a u-turn just before the guard shack each time then got on the road that runs behind the airport.

Sidenote: anyone else psyc themselves out going into a curve by glancing down at the speedometer an suddenly think you are going too fast for the curve? If I don't look down I seem to have a shit-ton more confidence with the curve.

I don't get how though. The crank and gears all still rotate in the same direction. It's just the piston oscillating horizontally instead of vertically. How does that make it easier to balance?

as far as snapping bikes goes in the first place it takes a hell of a lot to actually do it,

likely more than just the triple clamps that are going to be fucked if you stacked hard enough to snap the bike.

yeah it never looks as crazy in pics or videos as it does in person. Shame really.

I'm not afraid to admit I'm pretty shit at hill climbs. Ok I'm shit at most things.
>>
>>15379903
The bike was just too "race" for me. Valves wore too fast, if it idled it would overheat and boil over, the header would glow red, if you killed it, good luck starting it because the stock battery would never start it and the hot start did fuck all, and I ended up having fork issues before I traded it for a KTM 200EXC. Yes, I could have solved these issues on my own but it was a completely stock bike and I expected it to be fine from the factory. I still like the idea of a high-powered 4-stroke trail bike but I sacrificed too much convenience. Maybe I'm just lazy though

That was an error on my part, and I know now I should have just had an XR or something because I wasn't prepared to put up with a race bike. I like the KTM now but I hardly ride dirt anymore and I'm thinking about selling it. I love the supermoto bikes though and my friend has this clapped out WR450 that he wails on and I think, shit that thing puts up with a lot and it keeps going, maybe I could supermoto one of those. Or maybe I should check out the DR-Z400SM

drag your legs behind the bike if you are having problems finding the blance point, that way if you go over you just walk behind the bike, do that in 1st and 2nd gear until you master knowing where the balance is then start putting your brake leg up on the peg and work your way from there, thats how i learned to willy.

Why is there practically no market for small i3/4 supersports? I was just riding my bike (675) and thinking about how rarely I get to pin it wide open, which made me think how much fun a bike with half the horsepower and the same power band and handling characteristics would be for riding on the road.

I thought of that but I would have to get blinkers, a horn, and a mirror too, which isn't that bad but I don't know if I could stand riding a 200 2-stroke on the street every day. I feel like it would get old fast. MAYBE if it had oil injection haha

600s don't even sell, the 675 is on it's last legs.

>By Triumph’s own admittance, the latest incarnation of the Daytona – which now enters its fourth year unchanged – simply wouldn’t have gone ahead if the factory predicted the dire state of 600 supersport sales of recent years.

What makes you think the market will accept something even smaller? everybody loves the MC22s here but that's because you can pick them up for 3 grand and ride them on your P plates.

I doubt they'd be much cheaper than a 600 to make it enticing either, hell for a while here you could pick up GSX-R600s for 12k flat (same price as the MT-09 here).

>mope all the way home with scratched bike, sore arms, battered ego
