So I was that guy with the 2017 BRZ that got hit coming forward out of my parking spot. My dumbass insurance company determined it was my fault. And me being a dumbass as well, got the lowest monthly premium(hahah yea fuck me right?) with a $2500 deductable.

Anyway, I went to a body shop and they said that I have at least $6000 worth of body damage to my front passenger side. Lol, and I was thinking I was going to be able to do all the work myself just replacing a few panels but apparently there might be some frame damage as well. Oh and I also have a bent strut.( I'm still saying that the amount of damage CLEARLY shows the guy who hit me was speeding past the 5MPH limit of my apt,)

Anyway, i've determined i'm going to swallow the pill and pay up the 2.5k to get my car fixed.

Should I restore it back to stock or should i opt for aftermarket shit and make it unique? Any input with suggestions of body kits or lowering kits/wheels and how to get the most out of this situation.

I'm planning on modernizing an old low-compression engine with EFI, motorcycle ITBs, headers, a performance cam and running it on E85. This means I should raise the static compression ratio from 9:1 to at least 11-12:1.
Normally people just install a set of high-compression pistons and call it a day, but in this case there are no aftermarket pistons available.

What's the best way to accomplish my goal? Pic unrelated.

Theres some head shaving process that raises compression I think if your valves will clear.

what engine is it?
start with porting, bigger valves, and for sure a nice cam.
you will want to balance the internals too.

i ported this jeep head, exhaust first i removed about 3lbs alone on that side. really woke it up

i suggest you prepare many, many hours to porting. this was perfection after about 2 weeks on and off, again exhaust first.

there is more power to be made in porting than any header or ITB setup

At first you don't think it'll age badly, but it will nevertheless. The pre-facelift looks totally ridiculous by now, the first facelift is starting to get there, and even the second facelift will age badly eventually.

Ironically the best aging Mustangs are the ones that were a departure from traditional Mustang design. The whole retro design trend in American cars in the '00s to appeal to boomers was a mistake.

Hey guys, I'm buying my first car. I'm pretty poorfag and don't know shit about cars, but I'm going to need something to commute to law school.
https://philadelphia.craigslist.org/cto/6171424798.html I found this. Low mileage 55k but the guy said the dashboard goes on and off, asking $850. I'm trying to spend as little as possible, under 1k. I don't care how shit it looks, just if it drives and is good on gas. So a few questions. Is the Plymouth neon the same as dodge? Is it good or shit? Should I go after this or something else? Pls help

Alright /o/.
What is the best convertible?

Only rules are, RWD or rear/50-50 based AWD, comes in manual, and can be had for less then $5000 US, second hand.

I think your 5k budget kinda made that statement unnecessary. z3 with an I6 if you can or a Miata.

miata or MR-S depending if you want engine in front or middle.

I find myself wanting a CTR so bad. It's funny because I've never been a Honda fan or a fan of hot hatches in general. I've also never owned a FWD vehicle. But for one reason or another, the CTR seems distinct and elevated amongst the likes of the STI and Focus RS. It really seems more like a purpose built machine instead of a grocery getter. It's styling is extremely overt, but it actually seems like it's earned the look, unlike some cars in its segment. I currently own a MK4 Supra and I was initially hoping to get the new model in 2018, but it seems that it will have to be pretty darn good to steer my off the CTR.

Type Rs have always delivered
>>
>>17353571

it's the fastest fwd car in production, and can be made even faster easily since it's a turbo car and it's already fairly light weight at 2900lbs

it'll also hold its value very well, being the first CTR to come to the states.

I plan on test driving one when it comes out, but I don't expect I'll be able to get one for under $40k due to mark ups

lots of rabid honda fans will want to get their hands on this thing
>>
>>17353594
Yeah, the weight is a big selling point. the 2017 STI weighs 500 pounds more, with less power, and an extremely outdated engine.

This beast features turbo, vtec, and dashes the bulky, extraneous awd. Check, check, check.

On a side note, I have always liked the teggy type R, but I need a turbo- and wouldn't want to molest a beautiful collectable like that.
