Is the Dodge Journey a good car?
>>17412286
It's one of the worst Dodge vehicles sold on the market. Buy a Durango instead.
I think I might have to fuck this car
>>17412286
That faggot literally bought a fucking prius

That was a waste of my time and a thread, faggot OP
I usually just run supertech walmart oil in my 97 gmc k1500. Its only 11 bucks for 5 quarts. Ive been thinking of running pic related in it on my next oil change because its only $3 more. Is this oil any good?
The truck has 165k miles.
>also
I run 5w30 and it seems to be about a quart low after 3000 miles.
Should I be running 10w30? I live in texas so its basically hot year yound.
>>17412151
You should be running 15w-40, the forums recommend it. That oil is good for 7500 miles, don't believe the 5k label.

existing tesla owners in mandate states will get them first. then
>tesla owners in other states
>new customers in mandate states
>everyone else.
everyone else will probably come sometime in late 2018 or early 2019
Given the questionable quality and quality control of existing uber-expensive Teslas, I'd be really dubious about a mass-market priced car. In particular, expectations of interior quality in the ~30k usd price range has gotten really really high and has seemingly required a lot of learning to get there: really doubtful Tesla hits that standard the first time out.
When you're actually in need of a car and have some idea of what you want BUT ITS NO WERE ON THE MARKET
>when you hurry up and buy a car out of desperation
Then a week later you see the car they you would of bought if you had the time, and then that car keeps popping up while you window shop online
Does anyone else get this always happen to them?, this is the worst feeling ever man
Just buy a turd that's depreciated to nothing already while you shop for what you want. Kind of like getting a good job.
Millennial.
Convince me not to. Or.. convince me to.

look man, there's such a thing as cars you that can afford to buy, but not afford to own. I wouldn't touch that unless I cleared 500k/yr. Now, if you do make that, then go for it.
do it
fix everything yourself
replace parts that go out with golf spares
see how long it runs
The rule of thumb is: if you cannot afford to buy two, you cannot afford to buy it.
lol
YLYL?
Does it mean you don't respect your car?
I rarely see cars of models associated with car enthusiasts with bumper stickers.
yes.
boy you must never get out
I see decals on enthusiast cars more than anything
and lol its a car what kind of autist gives it some kind of respect
>mfw stickers on paint work
like at least with a window you can remove them without destroying the paint
hey there, /o/
long time lurker, first time poster here. i got into an accident today, my car is totaled, other driver is at fault, cops laughed because they were ten feet away and watched it all happened and refused to believe the lies of the lady who hit me and was trying to weasel out of responsibility.
now, how do i maximize the return on my vehicle when it comes to the insurance payout?
it was a paid off GMC Yukon with 174,000 miles on it, and i had kept that thing clean and running well since the day i got it over 125,000 miles ago.
kinda bummed since it was an absolute dream for long drives, and i had spent more on tire replacements than on any other repairs i'd done to it/paid to have done to it...combined.
I have a question, I just got this 1988 bronco for dirt cheap. I later found out that I has what I think is water vapor coming from the exhaust manifold. Any ideas.
>>17411308
Two things: 302's are known to leak from their valve cover gasket, make sure its not oil first, should smell like its burning oil. Check the color of your oil and Coolant, if it is water vapor its most definitely head gasket.
If that's the case then 302's are a dime a dozen just find a known good one and just do a swap.
Anyone else have a hardon for these?

They're ok, I don't lose my head over cars like that
>>17411298
Softon maybe, I do dig it, just not my thing
>old British car with V8 beats both modern American V6 and V8 cars
>Brits literally outperform Americans when it comes to creating their trademark engine configuration
the v8 is french, not american

What I know is I 100% should not drive this car until the situation is fixed, it could be one of many things causing the problem.
What I don't know is how fucked am I? What are best bets as far as DIY diagnosing and fixing the issue?
tl;dr halp
A P0300 is a random or multiple cylinder misfire.
This is most likely something that affects all cylinders. A list might include failing fuel pump, clogged fuel filter, any sensor that is taken into account when the computer determines fuel delivery (intake air temperature, MAP, MAF, etc). Might be lack of air due to a mouse nest in the air breather tube. Is there one coil or does each cylinder have its own coil? If one then that might be suspect.

I'm just afraid of taking it into a shop where they can't know exactly what is wrong, and end up buying and replacing stuff that has nothing to do with the thing, and I end up paying a crap ton of money just to have the car fart out on me again with a same or different problem..
this car has been pretty stressful, I know they all go through this and she's 17 years old but I have no idea where to start, a while back my car wouldn't shift (manual) and I had a friend come help diagnose and replace the slave cylinder, we spend $20-30 getting a new cylinder and got the car working fine again..
based on my research and limited understanding, this problem feels more severe and less straight forward and I'm just not sure wtf to do , try and DIY it with the help of a friend or take it in or scrap it
help with car problem?
My 2006 Ford Taurus wont start. The battery seems fine, because the blower motor works well, radio is loud, etc. Car was making on loud click/thunk noise. I assume the starter.
I used this video to try to star the car
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XdKI1SsUjFs
Now the engine cranks but still wont start.
>11 years old ford
and the car was fine until I just tried an hour ago, maybe because it's super hot.

Test for spark and fuel, ground out a spark plug on the block and see if it sparks, put the car into run without starting it and listen to hear the fuel pump on top of the gas tank turning on
I just figured out how to use this air compressor. Ask me anything
How's that 3.5 gallon tank feeling? Have you even tried running an impact gun with it?
Air compressor supercharger?
are you going to build an insulated box to put it in so you can run it low noise?
