Hi /o/,
My mom drives a 2007 BMW 525i, and just today she texted me for help. Apparently, the car shut down and sputtered on the side of CA-46 (the weather there is 98 degrees fahrenheit, last I checked), with no warnings or alerts. She has tried to start the car again, but the engine starts and then immediately dies.
What do, /o/? I have no idea how to maintain BMWs, nor what problems they may chronically suffer from.

Could be the cooling issue if your mom was too stupid like to watch for the temperature gauge.
Or the compression might shoot up if the engine is WAY too hot.
But since its a german car from 2007 i am gonna assume its some ECU bullshit trying to ask you to take it to the nearest BMW-brand-certified-dealer for you to spend thousands on a sensor change.

Are you some kind of bitch? I used to offroad a '92 Ranger when I was 14 and do mad skidz. It was so high off of the ground. The only thing I worried about was my dad getting pissed as fuck for ruining so many sets of tires.

Question for /o/
I bought a car back September (9-16-16) and shortly after was hospitalized for 8 months. I'm finely in good enough health to go out and register the vehicle. Am I going to get raped with late fees, or just face the traditional extra $25 for not doing it within 45 days? I live in Indiana, and cannot find any non-forum answers. Also BMV stories I guess.

>The HUBB filter looks and works completely differently than a conventional filter and protects your engine much better. The difference starts with how the oil flows into the filter. The HUBB filter features two large kidney shaped openings in its baseplate that channels the oil around the exterior of the primary filter. These large openings dramatically increase the oil flow in comparison to a conventional filter. HUBB deploys a patented filter-in-a-filter design. Most of the oil is filtered by the primary filter which filters oil from the outside to the inside. But when the pressure increases during acceleration. HUBB's 1st pressure differential valve opens and oil flows into the secondary filter where it is filtered from the inside to the outside of the filter. This opposite flow from the primary filter eliminates cross contamination of the clean and dirty oil, allowing only the clean oil to flow through the center of the filter and back into the engine.
