Hey /o/ what's the best car smell and why is it black ice?
Actual new car is best, Black Ice is second.

You must be new here.
Cars only assholes drive
The 90's TJ is the only acceptable one.
Butthurt answer: any car faster or more expensive than mine
Actually backed up by empirical evidence: newer BMWs, Civics, Imprezas, Ferraris in general, 350z/G35 and V6 muscle cars, hot hatches in general.

Can the V6 in your shitbox join the ranks of god-tier with the 3800 /o/?
It'd be a lot better if all the cars were RWD.
At least they're comfy.

allow me to introduce you to 255hp N/A introduced in 2001...

ITT: bullshit car tech

Why do people spend upwards of $15,000 on a small hatch back they think is kinda "sporty" when you could have one of the fastest production vehicles ever produced that is capable of making million dollar supercars look slow for that kind of money...?
Accept that you are poor and get a motorcycle.
Why do people get a motorcycle when you can get a model rocket that goes 450mph in 2 seconds for $20
poorfags need a car and cannot afford car and bike.
It is the people spending 25-40k on a sporty car that are wrong. They should have a nice sport bike and a cheap hatchback.
>>14251308
you can't ride a model rocket while even a 250cc dirt bike will give a greater sensation of speed than any car short of a supercar
What makes a car fun?
The fun I have when driving it, working on it, looking at it, thinking about it.

I'll be fine. Just need to get some solar panels or find a strong stream for hydro. Then I can safely hide out growing beans and rice. While my car charges. Never have to fight people for Guzzoline.

"I'll see if she will, I think I have something I need to talk to her about anyway." you reply
When you make it to her door she rolls down the window but stays quiet.
"Are you running me home?"
"Sure whatever, just hurry up before I change my mind, I don't know how much longer I can put up with you." she snaps back
Well, that's still a yes...
"She said she would." you tell Cheryl walking back
You get your tools, bumpers. and seats into the Packard.
"See you around, maybe Fri-" Cheryl stops herself "Oh dude, I'm sorry, I'm not used to thinking of you with out that car."
"It's fine...I'll probably be legalizing this one or buying something else before Friday."
No way Dad is letting you take the Valiant out like that so you're gonna have to if you want to be there.
"Hey, I know a guy selling a '58 ragtop for a couple hundred if you're interested, bone stock!" June lets you know
You'd never here the end of it from Ronnie if you bought a VW, but you're never going to hear the end of him fussing at you for losing the '55 either. Shit, you were supposed to go to the strip tomorrow with him too. What is Dad even going to say about this, do you even want to go home tonight?
"I'll let Cheryl know if I'm interested, I need some time to think about it. Later guys, need to get this taken care of."
With your goodbyes said to the VW group they get back into the wagon while you get in the Packard.
Erika leaves with a peel out, does she want to get the cops back on you again?
You follow her out to that farm again, driving down the side of the corn field, into the woods, and through the maze of dirt trails until you come to a clearing. She lets you get in front, you're sure you remember how to get to the back entrance to Carpenter's from here so it's all good, you can just leave it there.
>>14250573
Assuming the only thing you're going to be needing anytime soon are the tools you grab those and leave the Packard sitting off to the side of the dirt road and make your way to the Olds. She doesn't say anything as she threads the needle to back up until she can get turned around.
If she really didn't want to give you a ride she should've just said so, you could probably be having fun in that VW right now. Why did you even think she'd like you back? Now the whole atmosphere feels awkward after having been relatively good all night.
She comes to a stop at the road, looking at you and awaiting for you to tell her where to go.
A) A motel
B) Home
C) Al's, there should be another "party" going on
D) Like she'd ever do it now, her place.
E) Lassiter's are nice, maybe they won't mind you staying for a night.
F) Ronnie's? Could get the roasting out of the way.
G) Could you just drive around for a while?
Obviously, you'd like to try to make things better with Erika or maybe call it quits now.
W) Is there even a chance anything could happen between you?
X) Sit there in silence, no risk of making anything worse.
Y) You'll hitch a ride, get out.
Z) Get off the topic entirely, ask if she's interested in car shopping tomorrow.

What is your opinion on the new Civic? Is it good or shit?
Pussy
>>14250559
It's a Civic.
It's hard to fuck up a Civic.
ITT Post your first ever car and what you think of it looking back
Pic related. Horrible little plastic-y car that was somehow louder on the inside than on the outside.
1991 Honda Prelude SR, bought for $1000 with 320k kms, ridiculously faded paint, straight pipes, 4 different bald tires.
Was a fwd godmachine, and pulled all the bitches
Jk was a good first car, lots of fun, good on gas and fairly reliable. Bought new battery, rebuilt the alternator, bought new tires for it, panel windows. Lasted until i crashed it like 8 months later and ended up getting like $2700. Every vehicle ive owned since then hasnt needed any work so thats the only auto work exp. ive had and looking back was alot of fun.
>>14250117
oh and changed brake pads
Ford Puma 1.4. Quite liked it at the time, chiefly because it at least looked like it wasn't the kind of generic shitbox most 17yo Brits get stuck with, and because of that one video on Youtube where Tiff Neddell demonstrates "fwd drifting in one".
It was pretty slow, though - even realised that at the time - and in hindsight I didn't really push it hard enough to be able to comment on the handling, even if it felt like I was doing back then.
Still have some great memories of it, regardless.
Hi /o/, I am coming from /k/, I am kind of a newfag when it comes to vehicles, anyway
>find a 2007 Interceptor for 2000$
Now my question is
>are there any special rules and regulations for a retired police car?
Pic related
It's going to be kind of hit or miss, a 2007 for 2 grand means it might not be in fantastic condition, but crown vics are pretty simple. Also everybody on the road is going to hate you unless you paint it neon green or some shit and take the pushbar and spotlight off.
No its just like any other car. If your state does inspections the horn and other things might not work and that'll be a problem (matter of cut wires or pulled out by police department) if your state has E85 and you want to run e85, look for a 2008 or newer. I have a 2007 also.
>>14249941
>are there any special rules and regulations for a retired police car?
yes you have to register it as a deadly weapon and submit to a background check. prepare to be on every illuminati database, and pack your bags for the FEMA camp.
Tell me your feels about column shifters, /o/tists

I don't know how to feel or how to use it
What are things that instantly disqualify anyone as credible source for automotive information in your eyes?
- calls all 8 cylinder engines V8, even when it is an inline 8 engine
- believes that electric turbo chargers actually do something
- claims to be the biggest fan of a brand but confuses even mainstream known chassis codes of the brand
- doesn't fucking clean their car and rather keep stuffing the interior with air fresheners instead
>FWD
>>14249603
>is on /o/
>>14249603
Well, my gf's mom instantly discredited anything I'll ever say about cars again because she thinks solenoid is pronounced "sill-en-oid"
She was having transmission issues and I was trying to explain a solenoid issue and she kept interrupting me with
>it's actually pronounced sillenoid my ex was a mechanic for 350923850398 years
I ignored it and kept explaining and said it the right way two more times in my explanation and she cut me off and said
>forget it, we'll just take it to someone who knows what they're talking about
That fucking feel
/o/ will prefer one of these interiors
Can you guess which one? (Hint, its the one on the right)
My tastes are a little more sophisticated, desu senpai.
>>14249416
Thats glorious, what is it?
I'd rather have the one on the right because it's not a fucking buick
Do you love driving your current car?
Why or why not?
No, because it's an econobox.
>>14248725
Yep. Decent power, decent mileage, comfortable seats, decent stereo, great heater, parts are cheap. Just what you need in a work beater.
Yes, it's treated me amazing and is fun to drive. Despite the hate I get for it, it makes me breddy happy
