>reliable, this is a must
>decent mpg (20+) is always a bonus, but not required

Not every European hates Camaro's. Most Europeans actually like muscle cars (not theat the Camaro is one, but still), or at least the idea of them - a cheap, RWD car with a big engine.
Problem is just that taxes and import fees make them expensive as hell. Chevrolet in particular is a problem as they're pulling out of Europe altogether, so goodluck getting any warranty upport or maintenance done at a dedicated Chevy dealership.
