Would a Lincoln Mark VII or a FB RX-7 warm up faster?
I guess the RX-7 is small, and the rotaries run hot, it'd be the best. Right?

Which would you buy, a new 2016 MX-5 or a ~2009 BMW 135i? Assume the Miata out the door price is close to $30k and the BMW is closer to $20k. I'm assuming the higher cost of owning the BMW over ~5 years would offset the price difference making them effectively financially equivalent.

Obviously the BMW has more power, but is it really better to drive overall? I've driven the new Miata and it doesn't feel as slow as I thought it would.

TL;DR, pick one and tell me why

WHO IS AT FAULT?

It's the owners fault for owning a Mitsubishi.
I bet the filter was just fine and Mitsubishi just made a shitty product as usual.
>>
>>14295199
Mr Lube.

Doesn't matter for shit what they claim, the engine blew up just after 1 week of being in the shop and an independent mechanic verified that a faulty part caused it.
The shop that installed it is at fault, end of story. Now if the part was wrong, that's the shops job to take up with the supplier and if it was correct but installed by a retard then they either fire the mechanic or use the insurance they should have to cover this exact scenario.

The owner should talk to his car insurance company. It might very well be that they will cover the repairs and then sue mr lube for the full cost with interest.
>>
>Jessica MacQuarrie
Well I've noticed the problem here right away.
They don't even know what caused the engine to fail. Did they even open it up?

It was just a fuckin lemon. With defects from the factory surely

Porsche 944. The back seats are pretty small, and they're liable to be unreliable, but even $8,000 could probably get you a five-figure miles pristine one. There are obviously other cars that fit the profile of sleek 2+2's, but IMO the 944 is the best looking, Z32 probably being second.

Fuck off back to /pol/ and learn how engines work instead of just making retarded IDS HABBEDING threads when you clearly have no idea what you're talking about.

Engines suffer by far the most wear when they're cold and you're doing nothing but prolonging that state by being a fucktard and ignoring your car's manual because you apparently know better.

Besides you'll be spending as much money keeping it running and modding it to make more power.

Yeah, sounds right. People here also tend to be a little more money conscious in general which isn't bad, but means that less brand new cars are going to be recommended since they take a huge hit when it comes to depreciation.
>>
>>14291139

No not all of us are poor, I could easily put a down payment for a new car today but, Why buy a newer car and make payments on that shit than buy something that you can pay off or own, that is just as fun and use what money you have left over, and make that car better, faster, stronger.

Non car people like you op won't ever understand that.
>>
Why the fuck would I dump more than $7000 on a new car? I'm surprised I even made it to that number.

I don't know what snow even looks like.

The biggest problem is people think that "all-weather" or summer tires are fine for driving on snow.

Washington DC got shut down the other day because nobody had winter tires. That was due to 0.7 inches of snow.
>>
>>14290852
Depending on the brand and tread type, all-weathers are perfectly suitable for occasional snow.

What actually happens is people get all-weathers one winter and then proceed to drive the piss out of them all year, meaning they're practically bald by the time next winter rolls around and completely useless. Also, lack of experience with snow driving (because of how irregular it is in the South) means people deliver bad input and crash.

A/S tires are totally fine as long as you're not planning to drive on a frozen lake or Finnish rally stage.
