A real fan is someone who feels the music.
Why didn't he live long enough to go through an experimental phase ;_;
when you die you can't make art anymore
Because he was too good to be allowed to live.

i'd say the worst album is some shitty rap album nobody's ever heard of
I fucking hate this album.
did people even know about underground music in the 90s? Did people even download music off of the internet back then? They probably wouldn't have access to the sort of sharing, storage, and download capacity they had today, if anything at all. Isn't it funny to be living right on the brink of when advanced civilization actually begins? It's like, around some of the times that we were born, civilization on earth had never seen these things. Just imagine how unlucky we are to not be born like 100 or 1000 years in the future. This really is a horrible time to be alive.

>did people even know about underground music in the 90s?
Yes. We went to shows and hung out in record stores.
>Did people even download music off of the internet back then?
I first got Napster when I went to college in 1998, and I think I started seeing private FTPs for shared music in 1999. About a year before that was when people started trading mp3s over the internet, I remember getting a Smashing Pumpkins bootleg in mp3s in either 1997 or early 1998

Or rather, think of how spoiled you kids are. You don't have to work for your music, you can burn though listening to everything in a short amount of time and thus appreciate it less
Why is this album considered so good and classic here on /mu/?
Because its good and a classic...Duh?
Because its good and it's a classic.
What makes it so good?
Starting it off with a nice one for Government Plates.
Does anyone have one for Eureka by Jim O'Rourke?
bump
Need more for NLDW
Have one for Kanye, too.

what's nirvana's best album?

Went to a show last night of a Nirvana tribute band celebrating the 25th anniversary of Nevermind.
They were good but the crowd was fucking atrocious I swear I was at a shitty meal gig from back when I was a kid
fuck nirvana fans

In Utero
They were good. Kurt was a genius as far as writing simple, memorable melodies goes.
Also, his chord progressions, albeit just powerchords for the most time, were actually quite unique sometimes.

yeah. the beatles' early shit really is some of the most overrated stuff in all of rock music. i would say that sgt pepper is still within maybe the top 10 or so rock albums, but people who consider anything else of theirs anywhere near the top 100 are just parroting rollingstone for the most part
