Fully agree
Dollars & Cents is underrated in general
>Don stepped outside
>It felt good to be alone
What was the reactions of this before he died? That is how we know the true worth of the album. Was anyone calling it a masterpiece at the time?
Most people were saying it's decent or pretty good
>>68670014
Yeh, it was heralded as a return to form.

He died before its release.

Specifically we were discussing Brahms. I stated that the many times I've tried to listen to Brahms's work, I've felt lost and uninspired, only hearing random themes with sudden change. I blamed this on what I felt was complexity beyond my musical knowledge (which is little). Someone proposed that perhaps it was my preference for classical symphonies instead of romantic. However, my favorite symphony is Schubert's 9th which, as far as I know, is romantic. Does anyone else like Schubert's 9th? Or 8th? Or 5th? Can any music savvy people break down Schubert's 9th for me?
Lovely day today

If you like Brahms you should listen to his Rhapsodies instead of his symphonies. That is where he truly shines.
>>68671747
I don't, as stated in the post.
Was there ever a more JUST musician than Pete Burns?

/mu/, what other producers make brilliant music as he does? I find his music imaginative, haunting and beautiful. First time I heard Radio Amor was a hell of an experience. It was like watching a blurry movie, a dream-like one. Anyway, I'd appreciate recs and discussion

Writing quality ambient music and not to be a pretentious is hard. And Time Hacker is good at it.

When you make mediocre music, you've got to have a gimmick to make yourself stand out.
