Hi /mu/,
I'm going through some hard times at the moment; might be losing some of my friends. I feel very melancholy. Can we have a melancholy general?
I don't like this album as much, but it's still good.
I havn't been able to find the latest Andrew Jackson Jihad albums but this has been my favourite so far.
You are into the idea of recording music with multiple instruments involved.
You also have no friends to play with.
What do? Use an synthesizer program?
>>69338136
Use samples as a creative tool 'til you save up for some instruments.
That's how I did it
>>69338159
Ohh. Good idea there! I love the art of sampling.

Is there any other album that feels like this? I've listened to it too much and no longer feel anything from it. Also I was 16 when I first heard it so now it seems kind of childish and maybe even a lil cringe.
>>69337937
I second that request
Hey guys this is totally not Peter Silberman doing a cover of a song i totally did not write, namely wake from the album The Antlers.
a band i am in no way affiliated with.

>loved everything I have heard of first wave post-rock and second wave post-rock so far
>finally give the records in pic a chance since they are supposedly among the best
>literally cheesy New Age music with more layers of sound
>>69337710
Do you want to discuss these albums and why you dislike them or would you like to talk about some of the material that you _did_ enjoy and see if we can take this in a bit more of a constructive direction ?
>loved everything I've seen one /mu/ today, top-tier shitposts and and having a good time
>finally give OP a chance to not be a faggot
>literally some non-sensical shitty insult that's degrading some of the best albums of all time
wtf
Spirit of Eden and Laughing Stock are absolutely beautiful, kill yourself
Also, New Age is comfy
Assuming:
* I have completed my first EP (4 or 5 songs)
* I have no online presence, never released any other music (so starting from absolute scratch)
Then:
* What's the path to getting noticed by A&R of major labels?
* Is there any way to get noticed by the A&R department of a specific label?

Fork over some dough to a PR firm
>>69337643
I'd say keep playing live, get in touch with promoters for as many concerts as possible
I'd forget about the a&r people if I was you. Some people do turn up at their doors and suck them off or give them a suitcase of money, even if they say yes which they probably won't , it's not going to make you a better act
What do you think?
>>69337930
Yeah I'm not trying to suck their weenys, but i'd like to get noticed as quickly as possible. If live performances are the answer then I am down, it's just I'd also like to balance a full time job.
