An experiment in a pen-and-paper composing general, made for all the theory autists
Post with the intent on discussing composition. And remember, this is NOT /classical/. Any music, such as jazz, is acceptable.
Post clyps and accompanying notation so we can accurately critique your composing from a theory perspective

Hey guys, was there any good music in 1993? Apart from Hum of Life and Птицa, I am really struggling to find something. Which is confusing to me because there's quite a few albums I love from '92 and '94. Please give me some recs?

Any like this guy John Fahey?
Its pretty interesting to read his biography and listen to the albums chronologically and match up their release dates with when his life turned to shit and what that does to the music.
Fahey is my idol. Probably the only guy I can think of who basically played music that was already well established in musical canon but made it into something completely different while still revering it. /mu/ rarely talks about him.
Check out Jack Rose, Robbie Basho, and Daniel Bachman if you like him OP

>ly guy I can think of who basically played music that was already well established in musical canon but made it into something completely different
are you joking?
Do you consider what others might think about the music you listen to before you decide whether you like it?
You probably do, you phony.

Nope.

Is it wrong for me to think that new AiC actually beats old AiC sometimes?

No. Layne dying doesn't mean Jerry stopped being a riff-making god
All Alice in Chains is shitty underbite bullshit dad. Go listen to wilco or the shins or something like the cool dads.
>>69343652
True.
It's just that "patricians" say that the band died with Black Gives Way to Blue.

What does /mu/ think of Colleen Green?
i think i would 'put m my wiener inside her' if ya catch me drift
>>69343496
i'm not sure i follow
I recently heard her on a podcast and she was pretty obnoxious.
Can we talk about this man?
His discography is so good, I love all his melodies and his more experimental albums.
Too bad his newer music didn't carry his old sound, the dubstep influenced sound is kinda cheesy.
He has some truly great albums. His first three + Ultravisitor were the ones I returned to the most. Lost interest after Hello Everything
>>69342770
He's pretty great.
Feed Me Weird Things, Music is Rotted One Note and Budhakkan Mindphone are all masterpieces.
