None of these are perfect.
(not saying they are bad)
inb4 "kanie iz 10" no he is not get over it or give me a good explanation.

Can't speak for the other two but I agree with MBDTF not being perfect.
So Appaled ruins everything.

What a stupid fucking thread
Genuinely reminds me of something I'd see on ultimate-guitar's forum 10 years ago

How much have you listened to Pablo?
What are your most & least favorite tracks from it?
Criticism?
Praise?
Me:
-Listened to each track around 4 times
- most; FML for the chorus - least; all the tracks with rhianna because i dislike her voice.
-A few of the songs were too religiously charged
-The use of multiple different melodies within the one song was pretty interesting IMO
Only listened to the full thing twice, and that was right when it came out. Uh apparently according to play counts it's 4, but I don't remember that.
Most listened are Famous followed by Pt.2, at 18 and 17 respectively. Least is facts at 3.
It has some good tracks, but as a whole it's kinda eh from what I remember, not as much a fan of the style of it as his other stuff.
A lot of the criticism that was levelled at it was actually stuff that I liked. Stuff like the haphazard, sketchbook / unfinished nature of it ... the broad sampling of and lifting of moods from songs without recontextualising them... the dynamic nature of the constant revisions...
It's just a shame the lyrical content is so poor... Rhyming asshole with asshole is actually great though, I don't know why people hate on those lines. And the Arthur Russell sample doesn't do it for me.
My favourite track for the instrumental is Feedback, best moment of the album is the Sister Nancy drop in Famous. Best song is probably No More Parties in LA.
It isn't a great or fully realised album. It's more like looking at someone's ideas and notes. It works on that level because his ideas are at least bold and fun. But it also means that the misfires are pretty detracting.
Me:
-Listened the whole album about 10-12 times
-Most: Wolves, Saint Pablo, Ultralight and NMPILA. Least: Facts, highlights, famous (but I still like 'em, just not as much)
-The flow of the album isn't very good from track to track
-Amazing opener, amazing ending, some fun tracks, some serious tracks, decent writing to very good. Great production, as always.
I never see this album discussed here. I think it's an absolute classic, I would like to hear what you guys think though. If you haven't listened to it I highly recommend you give it a shot. Obviously most of you are going to be familiar with Come on Eileen.
silly of you to think people here would want to actually discuss music
It's pretty bad, but Searching for the Young Soul Rebels is fucking fantastic and totally underrated, I used to try to talk about it on here years ago but no one cares

Why do you think it's bad?
ITT wtf this is so bad
that's my favorite album
You could say that about every post-Indian AnCo LP.

This is so important! Omg slay! Louder for the people in the back

What the heck?
This is like Grimes but good!!!
>>69361301
Yeah, anon! haha XD
>>69361301
This is like Grimes but boring!!! FIFY. Imagine Grimes being devoid of talent and singing only about sex. You get FKA Twigs.
On a side note, why the fuck everyone keeps comparing random female artists with Grimes?
FKA twigs is better than grimes, in the sense that drowning in water is better than drowning in urine
I'm composing music for a video game, but I need inspiration for one level. Can you recommend me music that sounds gross? Like genuinely disgusting. For instance, if you were watching someone cannabalize a living being, what music would be playing in the background?
pic unrelated
Maybe check out some of the silent hill OSTs

These might be more anxiety inducing than outright gross, but it's the closest I could think of. Is this along the lines of what you are looking for?

Thoughts, /mu/?
which is the worst month to release an album
>december
it most likely won't appear in best of year lists
>january
no one will remember that it was released that year
>1 is beyonce and not Bowie
>the 1975 is even on this list
it's shit
inb4 "nu-male"
who cares, their best album is just ok.
I thought it was pretty good. I just think the instrumentation was lacking, too much focus on the guitar. I want to hear the tuba, synth, bass and all that.
>>69360627
I didn't like it that much because it sounds too much like CI. I'd love to hear a sound closer to Can't Maintain on their next album
