Can anyone come up with a good reason why this record has yet to be officially repressed on vinyl? I just can't think of 1 good reason...
>>69363960
because its bad xD i am le /mu/ patrician
Needs heavy remastering
Also shoegaze/death metal doesn't sound good on vinyl imo
>>69363960
because kevin is an audiophile and understands the superiority of the cd format
I mean if you spent £250k and two years of your life autistically getting your layered effects just right you wouldn't want people to listen to it on an inherently distorted format
but more to the point sony has the rights to the album, and a remastered vinyl probably wouldn't be all that profitable

it has already been remastered
What in gods name happened to this band? I loved "Whenever, if ever", but I just looked them up again for the first time in years and they don't even have a single original member except for some dude who played guitar before they ever released anything? I listened to Harmlessness and its fucking terrible. I get the revolving lineup thing, but the new vocalist is bad and all of the good members are gone. (Derrick, Greg and Thomas). How does this happen to a band?
Also bands without any original members wig me out. How does that happen and how can they even keep the original band name?

Reminds me of FLAG and Black Flag. However, none of those have the most important member Henry Rollins so its a moot point.

>he only listened to the studio LPs

Good thread
It's just noise.

true

All sounds and also noises can be part of a musical composition. All the things you hear in this album are meticolously organized and constructed together.
Why women who make electronic music are always more fascinating, intelligent and beautiful than other female musicians? I guess it's the same thing for the opposite genre of classical music, but in my opinion women who make electronic have more characterized personality and intellect.

(Jeff Mangum Live at Jittery Joes; 1998 prior to ITAOTS)
"...but it's sort of a companion song to Two Headed Boy. It's about a family that lived in the 1940s, in Europe, and how I'm...yeah. And I have dreams about one certain member of that family...at times...and other things as well."
(vaguely in the background of the recording)
>"Hey...psst. He's definitely talking about Anne Frank, right? Like, the little girl Anne Frank. Dude, this guys fucking creepy as hell, why... I just don't know why he'd tell us that. Like...a little girl, man. Yeah let's get out of here."
