http://pitchfork.com/features/lists-and-guides/9991-the-best-music-memes-of-2016/
I only recognised 2/10 of these memes. Am I getting old?
i hate that the word meme became mainstream
>>69566517
No, they just aren't memes
I know I'm going to sound like a dadmemer or something but kids these days think any old shite can become a meme. They don't appreciate the art of memeing.
Why does /mu/ hate ae?
>>69566473
the frenchfags "robots" hate Æ
they're boring and uninspired
This board used to Iike them. Then elseq made them more popular on /mu/, and everyone was praising it for awhile. Then like all things /mu/ turned on them because they became aware of the fact that other users liked them, which made them uncool to like.
Why do metalfags like overbearing bass so much?
I think that pic related sounds crystal clear with balanced low end and the remastered version sounds like dogshit in comparison.
shitting on metallica has become so overplayed, but god is hardwired boring as fuck
every fucking song is worse than that lords of summer song
at least it really made me appreciate death magnetic
>>69566467
>Why do metalfags like overbearing bass so much?
I don't. Remasters often sound worse when there wasn't anything particularly wrong with the original.
There was a remaster?

pic related
honestly i fully expect Ramshackle Glory's One Last Big Job to be my true AOTY, but its not coming out till the very end of the year zzz
Definitely pic related, Bloodstream kicks ass
Tossup between TLOP and Blond
Probably TLOP though.
I'm not even that big on hip hop, shame that other genre artists didn't really put up anything that good.
is it wrong to listen to the beatles in stereo?
>>69566251
abbey road was recorded only in stereo, but for the white album some tracks were done in mono and some in stereo so that album is a tossup. everything before than was preferred in mono
>>69566251
>Beatles finally on Spotify
>almost completely in stereo
>>69566314
It hurts
What music do Christians listen too?
Lecrae
Pat Boone
>>69566201
Well the USA has the worlds largest Christian population by country and this is currently the number 1 song in America right now:

Are black people allowed to listen to indie?
>>69566041
White people listen to rap/hip hop, I don't see why not
They are the ones making the best indie today
all people can listen to all music!
it counts
cheating a bit
It's a good album.
>pic related
>>69565810
Has some really good songs, and is extremely well produced to be honest.
I wouldn't say the album as a whole is good though.
>>69565810
I was impressed by this to be honest. It features a full fledged, wonderfully produced shoegaze song, plus some ambient stuff. For a normie album, it's pretty eclectic. Most of the songs are funky as hell and the production is top notch. I'd say it's overall a good album.
I know it's not on that album, but that chocolate song is fucking comfy.
why are ugly people good at music?
oh, thanks
https://youtu.be/SkID1_eosJo
ugly person = more likely to stay inside bc self conscious = more time to perfect the art
How are y'all feeling about this?
I really enjoy it
>>69565673
The album, not the song, just to be clear
>>69565757
IMA IMA
IMA MOTHERFUCKIN
>>69565673
I like 2 songs on this 18 track album.
One has Kendrick Lamar and the other is the Daft Punk song pretending to be a Weeknd one.
Post soothing music.
