Where should I start with this guy? I have his entire discography, and it's absolutely massive. I'm not looking for some easily digestible entry level stuff - I want the far out cosmic shit.

Start with that one that goes toot toot toot
Well Space is the Place is a fantastic way to start. Check out Atlantis afterwards. Side B is fucking nuts.

Why do people pretend to like Death Grips?
White guilt
to make mom and dad FREAK
>>69563267
66% of the band's members are white tho
Tell me about that time you were given control of the music in a social setting /mu/.
What really happened?
I have enough social awareness to play normie music in normie settings.
So nothing happened rlly.

>at party
>general populace is considerably drunk
>"hey anon add a song to the playlist"
>pick come on eileen
>everyone sings the chorus and bridge loudly
>everything goes better than expected
>invite autist friends i know through /v/ over to my house
>just shuffle my list of music anytime we want to listen to some music
>end of the week they ask me if i can share my "playlist"
>send them a list of my music
>say their friends enjoy it too and they play it often

post the most beautiful music you know from any era.

This has yet to be topped.

it's funny that after spamming this album here for so long it actually became popular on /mu/ even though it's just below average pop rock
but oh I guess the mike love hate and dying brian wilson memes make up for it...
Redpill me on the flute, /mu/.
It is a good instrument. Not the best woodwind instrument, but certainly a good one.
>>69562870
Not as good as the skin flute

The grips are similar to a saxophone, so if you learn to play one moving on to the other is comparatively easier.

Is he a better musician or actor?
both
actor
please spoiler that shit next time his face triggers me
How does this album make you feel? What is your favourite song and why?
I'm not really into Death Grips or hip-hop in general, but I absolutely love this album. It's the furthest I've heard the boundaries of the genre pushed so far, but if anybody knows of any similarly ""innovative"" rap albums, tell me. I'd love to hear them. My favorite song on here is either Say Hey Kid or Billy Not Really.
Niggas on The Moon makes me feel very comfortable in a weird way. My favorite song is Viola and Big Dipper. They're just great songs overall, Stefan's scream in Viola is spine tingling and the rolling bouncing Bjork vocals are fun to listen to. Big Dipper's hook is one of my favorites. The ending is great too.

Black Quarterback, it's also in my top 5 Death Grips songs. It's one of the most "rap" songs for Death Grips and the joycean boastful lyrics on it and all those references to occultism thrown in make for one of the best rap songs of the 10's, even though it is overlooked by everyone and everything.
Also, Say Hey Kid. That "Support, gravity, my people would" mantra is impactful as fuck
>"Power pop is what we play—what the Small Faces used to play, and the kind of pop the Beach Boys played in the days of 'Fun, Fun, Fun' which I preferred." - Pete Townshend
When did you realise this is the greatest sub-genre of Rock music?
I love Steve Marriot, never ever gets mentioned here.
>>69562703
The Small Faces are really overlooked. They get written off as a second-rate Who, but even if that were the case being a close second to one of the GOATs makes them a great band in their own right.

Well Paul Weller modeled himself on them, who went on to influence then entirety of new wave and indie rock. The Small Faces and hugely important
He died too young F
>tfw you realize that un-pretentious music has better friendlier fans and better artists
music can't be pretentious
>>69562430
Semantics. Music with a pretentious fanbase is typically referred to around here as pretentious music. But I suppose this is acceptable if you are such a newfag you don't really know the way people speak around here.
>>69562473
newfag...
*grabs cigar from mouth*
that's a name I don't hear in a long time...

Why do you hate electronic music so much?
But I don't
it requires no skill, it's just noise.
i only listen to REAL music like Formaţia Albatros şi Naste din Berceni.
>>69561777
A: Nice trips.
B: I don't. I like Daft Punk, Flying Lotus, Fatboy Slim, and a lot of Bowie's electronic phase.
