What are YOUR hip hop tropes that you dislike?
>yes yes y'all, and ya don't stop
>>70210807
do you hate rhymes like dimes
>hip hop song starts
>producer screaming his name in my ears
>rap man tells me "I'm not ready for this one"
>rap man reminds me what album I'm listening to
>rap man reminds me which year said album was recorded in
>rap man reminds me where he is in the "rap game" (at the top, of course)
>rap man tells me his name, moniker, "rap name", or all three
>rap man tells me he's "going in" before starting a verse
>rap man tells me how much money he has
>rap man says "uh... yeah"
>rap man name drops a bunch of clothing lines and automobile companies
That fucking snare that sounds like a sprinkler.

BTBAM is hot topic rubbish.
>>70210677
*tips suicidial tendencies cap*
Surprised that he gave BTBAM an 8, he has been pretty stingy in the last couple years. Also the 4 for Blackstar is ridiculous even by his standards. Should be a 5 or 6
>he has a Beatles, Bowie or Radiohead album in his top 100
hehe that sure is embarrassing
this but unironically
The fact that so many books still name the Beatles as "the greatest or most significant or most influential" rock band ever only tells you how far rock music still is from becoming a serious art. Jazz critics have long recognized that the greatest jazz musicians of all times are Duke Ellington and John Coltrane, who were not the most famous or richest or best sellers of their times, let alone of all times. Classical critics rank the highly controversial Beethoven over classical musicians who were highly popular in courts around Europe. Rock critics are still blinded by commercial success. The Beatles sold more than anyone else (not true, by the way), therefore they must have been the greatest. Jazz critics grow up listening to a lot of jazz music of the past, classical critics grow up listening to a lot of classical music of the past. Rock critics are often totally ignorant of the rock music of the past, they barely know the best sellers. No wonder they will think that the Beatles did anything worthy of being saved.
but bowie has a 7.5 score, that's scarrufi-core
>still not thinking twenty one pilots are a good band
i want p4k/melon/rym drones to leave
They're from Ohio? Explains a lot. Objectively the worst state.
haters will suppress this truth
6.5 is hardly a good score, even by Scaruffi standards

Pat Mastelloto posted a question about "It Just Works" a while back too. I would normally not be interested in the modern Crim lineup, but I'd be wiling to humor Fripp if he's now an anime degenerate like myself
Marry, fuck, kill. Go.

Marry Vektroid, fuck Ferraro, kill Chuck Person.

Poor taste. Also it's the albums, not the creators.

>band has 0 drummers

It's 2, though you could see it as 4/3 if you did the math wrong. I don't know how you got 0.

Bouta see City Of Caterpillar on their current reunion tour on the 13th. Too hype for this, but haven't jammed to screamo in a while. Going through their discography plus other favorites of mine.
