Ok so this has become one of favorite albums and I'm wondering where should I go from here
>>70204135
their other albums and EPs
>>70204151
this
however nothing will ever top It. Don't expect to find anything similar. Perhaps Cornelius - Fantasma but only in vibe
>>70204151
>>70204233
Will check this its sad that your probably right that nothing will top it
Okay, so, I like the lo-fi/outsider/meme house sound or whatever you wanna call it. Could you please suggest some stuff?
Lobster Theremin
bitcrush a deep house song of ur choosing
>>70204017
Already listened to Lobster Theremin stuff but thanks for the suggestion!
i want to buy an audio system to cover my entire apartment, one speaker/room preferably
can i get anything better than this?
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00EWCUK1Q/?tag=thewire06-20&linkCode=xm2&ascsubtag=WC246
my plan is to buy 6-7 of them and somehow sync them all together so that they all play the same song
i'm a bit impaired when it comes to nerd tech and music so bear with me

>emily haines
She's really awesome
>>70204121
Yes
This album is perfect, but it's mostly gold because it borrows themes of American folk/country, which I dont listen to much.
Any news on his newer album? Wow was a bit promising.
>>70203656
You liked Wow?!! It was so, i know it's a stupid term, but it felt so sold out.
I liked MP but only because it's Sea Change 2. Not as much memorable songs though.
I hope his new album won't be just Foster the People with and old guy
>>70204694
As a hit single, it's obviously gonna be a bit of a sell out. Especially since it got in a commercial.
Im saying the sound behind it was promising, although id be happy if beck never touched hip hop again. It does hint at some good alt rock however.
I got some love for FtP too, although i got no idea wtf they're doing atm.
Sea Change is great but I dont hear MP as part 2, it's a lot more country sounding and less gloamy. Also the instrumentation is far better on MP, everything blends together nicely.
Beck fucking sucks. Thinks he's some sort of self proclaimed caretaker of Americana.
He's just shit when all is said and done.
Oh my god it's so fucking boring, t hey traded interesting ways to use sounds and samples for generic dance beats #90001, It sounds like a soundcloud rapper's backing tracks fuck this album FUCK THIS ALBUM
>>70203551
So you don't get it, that's ok
well i enjoyed it
It takes a while to get going but the second half from Harmony onwards is perfect.
Opinions on these lads?
>>70203509
the definition of white people music
>>70203525
What's wrong with that?
I've been just getting into them, having listened to a song or two, but they do seem a bit plain
Why does /mu/ never talk about this album it's like one of the best rock album of the 21st century
>>70203268
because it's not
It's not tho
its like tame impala but actually good
however. that is just an animal collective album, but all the members have down's syndrome.
>>70203183
show me an anco song like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v6HXS11l4sw
electric feel is the only song that even resembles anco.
>>70203213
you're right, it doesn't sound like anything animal collective have ever done. that could be because it is a generic [nothing] song without any substance.
Holy shit, finally!
>>70202979
Does this nigga give anyone anything above a 7?
>>70202979
>radiohead only has one album that's 7/10
>none of the others are above 7/10
wtf I hate radiohead now
Damn, I just noticed his Blackstar review:
>This is trivial "music" that any amateur could make, except that most amateurs would be ashamed to release it. Bowie died of cancer in january 2016.
Savage af
How long did it take for you to enjoy trap ?
grew out of it when i was 15 like any self-respecting individual
TNGTH's EP is the only trap I like
When I discovered It g ma by keith ape
I wanna get into electronic music. Can you recommend something?
I really like classics like Kraftwerk, Daft Punk, The Prodigy, Aphex Twin, Justice and Boards of Canada.
I am looking for something harsh, noisy, raw and wild.
Thanks in advance :)

official /mu/ containment thread
kys OP
i hope this is some /bleep/ guy trolling
but if not, fuck off
Does anyone here who makes their own music also do their own album art? Pic related is a design I wanna try to put on the physical discs for an upcoming release
>>70202508
If you're planning on putting that on a CD, you'll need to find something square shaped, as well as remembering that the middle circle and corners will be cut off by the disc. Using that pic, it'll look something like this
>>70202597
Hmm looks like it might have to be edited a little bit. Thanks for the advice!
>>70202508
resize the image to a square instead of rectangle and it works fine op
post any recent music related purchases you have made
Started collecting like a week ago so im getting some classics in.
>>70202408
Nice outdated meme taste
>>70202754
good job on melvins, stone roses and doom but that pf album kinda sucks mane
Hardly seen anyone talking about this on here
What did /mu/ think of RTJ3?
>>70202267
I haven't said this yet because I quit shitposting and I don't like contrarianism, but I didn't like this album. I listened to it twice and both times it just felt so flat. None of the songs popped for me like how Oh My Darling or Close Your Eyes did on 2.
>>70202267
>Hardly seen anyone talking about this on here
everybody was talking about this shitty album a few days ago it got way more attention than it deserves
>>70202267
I liked it and there's definitively some killer tracks on there, but for me RTJ2 is, as a whole, a better record.
Dronevil, Feedbacker and Akuma no Uta are much better
>>70202133
That's just your opinion man.
Personally Flood is one of my favorites
Flood has such a nice hypnotic feel, man
>>70202133
Shit taste general?
