You are given the opportunity to recruit any five people ever, to create your dream band. If they died, they are now living. One condition:
>must be an original band, of members who have never been together
>so basically no recreating oldies (e.x. The Beatles)
GO!

/mu/ doesn't like Slowdive anymore.
As I've said before I like the single
Everyone here is shitting on it.
Don't know why. Probably because it's not pouty enough.
Fuck em.
Lol their new song is Nissan commercial core
Listened to this the first time, and man this ambient track really drags it down, it so jarring compared to everything else and it drags on so much that it really takes me out of the album, any suggestions for appreciating it?

A broken water heater
What if I only like the ambient track and deleted all the other ones?
Like, on listening again, skipping the ambient track is so much better. I feel like the ambient track and the rest of the album would be things i'd listen to at completely different times

Gary Numan
I think Telekon is my favorite album by him.

Friendly reminder that this will be the best album of the 2010s. That is all.

I hope you're not implying that those albums are better than Bish Bosch

This album is bad

Now that's the actual living embodiment of a plebeian. I would much rather be somewhere important to me with people important to me as I slowly drift away in their arms.

Pic related: It's Scott Storch
>"I would always be going from L.A. to Miami to New York, to Russia, St-Tropez," he said, referring to his private jet trips. "Costs about $50,000 for a domestic flight, $250,000 for overseas. Yeah, that's an expensive habit."

Who?

he made a bunch of shitty beats for dumb negros back in the early 00s
Help me /mu/. I compared one band that I don't listen to to another band that I don't listen to, and she called me out on it.

Just say "oh shit...I meant ___" insert another artist there that is similar. Done.
This album has confused me for the longest time and for about a year now ive been playing this on repeat and i can definitely say this is the most avant-garde Hip-hop album ever created. This will be this record kids in 15 years from now will be posting this on mu/ discussing its impact on music and hip-hop as a hole. Based on orher popular musicans like David Bowie and Beyonce who based there last release on the sound of Death Grips i can definitely say that this band is something of importance when it comes to the future of music.
Death Grips supported Trump
Deleted all of their albums desu
>>70426424
yes, it's the only good death grips album
It's the only DG album I can really get into. And besides, it's still technically only 1/2 of an album.
>Bowie: "How about this, lads? How about we make a Scott Walker album but instead of it being dark, harrowing and innovative we take all that shit out and distill it into yet another bland pop album?"
>Me: "Wow. 10/10. AOTY 2016. So innovative. So progressive"
>Bowie died of cancer in january 2016

I wasn't going to bring that shit up. I know people were praising the fuck out of Blackstar even before he died. They were just as wrong then as they are now.

This album helped me get through an existential depression a few years ago.
What is an album that carries personal meaning to you and the story behind the connection?
>>70426326
Ziggy is the only album ever that made me cry, and I don't even know why. Every time I listen to it I feel kind of magically nostalgic. Although, I don't have any special memories connected with it, but it is still very special for me, and will always be my favourite album.
There was a period of time before when I first heard this where I was getting over a rough patch and Separator really hit close to home
>it's like I'm falling out of bed from a long and lonely dream
>finally I am free of all the weight I've been carrying
>>70426326
This album was the album that inspired me to start record collecting when I was 15, which got me into a LOT of new music and gave me a new hobby to be happy about.
Why is it that when musicians stop doing drugs, alot of the times their music starts to suck
And for that matter, when they start doing too much drugs, the music is shit.
Gotta get into that sweet spot of drug usage

I think it just matters on the people. Guys like ozzie did enough drugs to destroy most bands by himself but he did alright
Before I try /jp/, /a/, or even /wsr/ I thought I should try you guys first.
What is some good music from Japan? (Japan-inspired music is welcome too if it's good)
I'll start. I hope I'm not too plebian, but that's why I made this thread.

This is the greatest album to ever be released from Japan, and it's pretty accessible too. Give it a try.
