THIS IS A THREAD FOR AMUSING/INTERESTING/INSIGHTFUL INTERVIEWS OF MUSICIANS
I'll start with this classic Lou Reed interview
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IeMIWCxHgQk
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QOgMqF0uWmk
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c3qOZUksxUU
a must see
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zdzY49xlvdY
Which track is better
Impossible soul
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8R_3mXZBsuU
Djorhariah
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sCbI7RqFINQ
Both obviously god-tier
>>70423977
Impossible Soul only because it's more ambitious and diverse a track. Djohariah makes for good background music for the first ten minutes but Impossible Soul is more dynamic. Djo is essentially one song stretched for 17 minutes while IS is several songs (acts) in 25. But each serve a different purpose.
>>70424126
Djohariah is consistently good though, Impossible soul has an amazing start and finish but the middle gets a bit corny imo.
Still though can't disagree with what you're saying, probably say the same.
>>70423977
nah djorhariah overstays its welcome after the first hook comes in. no idea why sufjan redid the guitar build up again on that one
impossible soul shits on it
What are some good songs that have days of the week in their titles?
Examples: Blue Monday by New Order, Hooray for Tuesday by The Minders
Those are literally the only two I can think of off the top of my head and I don't feel like thinking much harder.
Share your favorite day-name related songs in this thread.
friday im in love
Sunday morning and saturday sun
Anything for Wednesday??
What's the most recent folk album that could be considered revolutionary?
Post folk with predominantly electronic sounds.
>>70423614
Sufjan is the leader in this regard and pic related would be his most revolutionary.
Go to illionis if you want something a bit more traditional
>>70423817
what else?
>>70423840
I just gave you 2.4 hours of revolutionary folk, fuck off you greedy cunt.
sasquatch godzilla king kong loch ness
goblins, goombas, killers with no conscience
I DON'T GET EEENuff UVIT
objectively the worst verse on the track.
Why haven't I heard him on the radio yet?
I listened to him the other day and he's actually good
I love his music. It's a Shame most of it is sample based and unless those samples are cleared he can't make any money from the direct sale of them.
tfw hear $uicideboy$ at every party i go to
wtf I love Madonna now
>>70423494
Madonna is a genuinely superb pop artist if you just ignore everything after the Immauculate Collection. I've found that's a pretty good rule of thumb in general actually. Try to avoid any music which an artist puts out after their first greatest hits album. It's not perfect but it fits in most cases.
>>70423645
COADF and Music are ok, though.
are you gay anon?
Feeling old yet /mu/?
that album's not 8 years old, it's fans are
tfw they couldn't even stay good for 5 years
>industrial
>tfw no one likes lowercase on /mu/
>indie pop
bad rep but produced the best music of the 2000s
>>70423363
I do, it's my favorite genre.
Though I'm surprised you have not included the works of Jürg Frey, Manfred Werder and Burkhard Schlothauer - even if mentioned.
Some changes I would make is include the actual Lowercase works by Francisco López (one of my favorites), instead of his Field Recordings.
Still, good chart.
Have you listened to O + Noto?
Does anyone here play piano? I play guitar but want to start playing piano, how much do you really have to spend to get an 88 weighted key, digital keyboard with usb?
>>70423100
If you get lucky you might be able to find a used one for $3-400, but for a new one $400 is probably going to be your minimum. It's worth it though if you want to take it semi-seriously.
If you're not sure, get a cheap midi controller keyboard to start with and if after a month you're still interested then step up to a real digital piano.
>>70423100
I'm kinda the inverse, I play piano but I'd like to learn guitar
My synthesizer costed around 700 bucks, it's pretty good
>>70423100
Yeah, you'll probably spend about 500 or more
>>70423303
what kind of synth
I want to upgrade but I have no money. I'll probably end up just buying a minibrute or saving until I have a job
why do we pretend this people know anything about music?
>>70422900
because it's always been like that
>Cry about pitchfork
>Mock people who take pitchfork seriously
>Post about pitchfork continuously
>Don't ever discuss the numerous alternative music sites out there that could benefit from word of mouth on /mu/
>Wonder why people still go to p4k
really gets the synapses firing
>>70422900
We don't
Name a better girl group.
Martha and the Vandellas
The Shangri-las
The Ronettes
>>70422850
