We've been working our way through these Beatles songs, with the vision of a huge cover album. In the previous thread, we rolled for songs to cover, but enough are taken now that I'm happy for people to just take their pick, as long as they check the song is available first.
Red line: song completed
Yellow line: song claimed
>MAKE SURE you email your completed track to [email protected] so that I can organise and compile this album a lot more easily. It also maintains an element of surprise for the final product. It may get ignored if you don't email it. Any file format is okay but wav is preferable. I can convert it if you can't be arsed, though.
The quality has been very high on the tracks I've received so far, so please put in the effort if you're going to contribute. If it's just you farting into a mic to the tune of You Know My Name, I'm probably not gonna accept it.

they're shit
They're great,
There is a Hell was their peak
>>70413413
My best friend is a big fan, I tried to give them an honest chance and listened to one of their albums but then my review was so pretentious, we don't talk about music anymore
They weren't bad, but I think the way I was trying to defend them as being pretty good sort of average as if apologizing on her behalf is what angered her, I wish I could talk to normal people about music

>Sonic Youth found themselves well received in Europe, but the New York press largely ignored the local noise rock scene. Eventually, as the press began to take notice of the genre, Sonic Youth was grouped along with bands like Big Black, the Butthole Surfers and Pussy Galore under the "pigfucker" label by Village Voice editor Robert Christgau. After a substandard September concert in New York, another critic from The Village Voice panned it. Gordon wrote a scornful letter to the newspaper, criticizing it for not supporting its local music scene, to which Christgau responded by saying they are not obligated to support them. Moore retaliated by renaming the song "Kill Yr Idols" to "I Killed Christgau With My Big Fucking Dick", before the two eventually sorted out their differences amicably
I didn't know Mr Moore was so based.
sounds like an idiot that couldn't accept that he sucked
>>70412838
>I didn't know Mr Moore was so based.
seriously? he's probably the most important musician of the last 30 years in terms of bringing good underground music into the public knowledge. his own music was just okay though
every patrician knows Lee is the most based member of the band
I got a copyright notice for torrenting a movie. Have any of you ever gotten a notice for downloading music?
Personally no, but my shared internet connection did. Only once, but it was for specifically downloading alot of data. I'm conscious that some day I will get a notice for downloading both movies and music.
I have no idea if it's different in the US though, I live in the UK so maybe they are a little less strict when it comes to downloading movies and music.
>>70412788
I live in Canada, which is quite lax when it comes to copyright enforcement—but ISPs are required to pass on the notices they receive from rightsholders.
I've downloaded a shit ton of music over the years and never gotten a notice; have downloaded fewer movies, however, and that's what got me.
>>70412857
I've downloaded a shit ton of films in the past two years, but it's mostly obscure shit and 70s b-movies. As for music it's fairly the same, I don't want to be one of the idiots who justifies downloading music but I use Spotify, buy CDs and Records and see my favourite bands live as much as I possibly can. And even then, I'm not exactly downloading normie shit that could get me into trouble.
