Serious question, Do any of you know any heavy metal around to or on par to Pantera/ Hatebreed's intensity?
Please feel free to share if you do.
I would recommend dillinger escape plan if you are looking for something heavy.
I've been listening to them for the last few years, even though they did sort of brake up or just went on hiatus after their last album that released last year.

Thanks mate, I'll check them out.
I'm going to hijack your thread for a question, op. I dislike Pantera but Walk is a great song, and I've never found anything like it. Any suggestions?

This is BAIT BOT with an automated message to let you know that this person isn't looking to have a real /mu/ related discussion. Do not reply to OP and continue to have a good day. :)

ITT: the best comeback albums
Rule: must be at least 10-year gap from the last album
Bonus: also post the worst comeback albums if you want
And we're just judging the albums on their own compared to other bands comeback albums disregarding their relation to the bands previous album? That seems fair.
I'm not thinking of one offhand yet.
not really an album, whatever
do not post wildflower
i am not joking
>everyone says they suck shit
>go check it out

>it's a drum n bass beat
>that's fine
>rapping starts
>"This is not rap, this is not hip hop" line is embarrassing, but as far as rock/pop rock lyricism goes, it's fine
>prechorus at least sounds decent, even if they lyrics that reference gangsters just to subvert it is just really stupid hipster shit
>chorus is pop rock fare
>second verse has shitty lines like "Mindless zombies walking around with a limp and a hunch,
Saying stuff like, “you only live once.”
>in general it's just an edgy pop song
>it's not the bane of the earth
>it's not horrible
>it's just okay
>they deserve to be ignored, but not hated
Geez /mu/
They're at least slightly better than bands like Imagine Dragons, now that's some actual trash
/mu/ just irrationally hates TOP because they were spammed here for a bit
>>70938762
Honestly they'd be a decent pop band if they cut some of the extreme edgy lines and either wrote better verses that competed with actual rappers' verses, or just stuck to singing, since he's a good singer.
I just had the worst thought but I think it's true
>add Logic to the group as a rapper so he can actually rap lyrics that are nerdy enough but also has enough emo(tional) qualities that appeals to the white girls
>this would be a decent pop band
THE
FACT
THAT
What music takes a stand against animal cruelty? Hard mode no shitty punk

Artists you've have bad experiences with?
I was at a Swans show (front row) an it was purely amazing but sometime during the show I decided to take a quick picture of Gira and HE FLIPPED SHIT on me... it was just a single picture. I wanted to keep a memory of an awesome moment ya know? But then I read more on /mu/ that he does this very, very, very often. He yells at everyone I guess.
It was kinda hard to enjoy Swans for like a month after that because it always reminded me of that rather embarrassing moment... but it's apparently just a thing for him. Good thing I know never to do it again at least.
Still massive love for Gira, he was going through hard times with rape accusations.
>>70938629
>Still massive love for Gira
???

Ayy
Michael Gira, the lead vocalist of Swans.
There are a lot of stories of him yelling at people or taking their cell phones away
Get in here and post some albums that are already memorable for the year and let's discuss this shit. I'm drunk.
So this is some ambient shit right?
>>70938754
Ehh, I guess you could describe it as ambient but I'm not really sure with this one
>>70938770
Oh no I shouldn't have said anything. Bass just came in ripping me a new one.
Post your favorite album ever. Others recommend you a director to marathon their filmography based on it.

I would like to listen to some good music /mu/.
Not so sad but not so happy. Something comforting because I'm shattered.
Thanks for all.

Make sure the volume is maxed out.
Tell your girlfriend to fill out her wings, it might be on purpose but looks like she doesn't trust her skill.

>/mu/ still just calls them electronic music
Why do you treat hlp hop as independent electronic genre but not these?
>>70937063
>hlp hop
>electronic genre
you're retarrded
>>70937093
>Electronic music is music that employs electronic musical instruments and electronic music technology in its production, an electronic musician being a musician who composes and/or performs such music.
This is their best album if you reorder it right and take a few songs off
>bonus if you can guess the right ones
>>70937055
It already is their best album
1. There There
2. The Gloaming
3. Sail to the Moon
4. Sit Down Stand Up
5. Go to Sleep
6. Where I End and You Begin
7. Backdrifts
8. 2+2=5
9. Myxomatosis
10. A Wolf at the Door
>>70937055
But it's their best album.
Myxomatosis is the pinnacle of music.
