(Ok I guess I should have explained more)
Pretty much any of the albums in the funk section have a pretty similar style.
Secrets and Sunlight are good too but they lean more towards disco, so if you're alright with that, give those a listen too.

"I got his discography from this era already"

>tfw descending down the slippery slope of weeb music

I can't help myself
Calling all Spotify /mu/tants.. I need your help on something. I was thinking we could pool our numbers together and use our powers for good.
I want Spotify to include an alarm clock feature. Spotify has been talking about implementing the feature for years now, and nothing has occurred. I think if we got on their Twitter and got some traction with our numbers, we could create enough noise to get some demand going. What say you?
My alarm needs to be loud as shit and even if my Bluetooth speakers would get that loud they only stay synched after about 20 minutes of inactivity
>>70931242
I play music/white noise on a Bluetooth speaker when I sleep. Regardless, my phone gets loud enough to wake me up with music. Would you be willing to help out anyway? It would be a nice feature to have. A lot of software/apps/alarm clocks play music as an alarm. I would imagine it wouldn't be too hard to implement.

How about first we convince them to publicly humiliate Universal into providing non audibly watermarked audio files.

Fun fact: The cover to that was originally blackface but the label chickened out and changed the colour scheme to make it less obvious
>Basically
That was the point, and you didn't get it.
>>70930679
on the one hand thats obviously fake but on the other hand I can't think of a single other explanation for the cover.
ITT: criminally underrated albums
You first. It's ok background noise for a coffee shop at best
>>70930564
this
people need to understand that nice background music doesn't mean it's good
neat a muzak thread
>No indie thread
Let's change that. Post indie you're listening to, whether it be indie rock, pop, electronic, or anything else.

>No indie thread
No need for one when the whole board is indie hipster bullshit.
>>70931023
indie =/= hipster
Not in it myself but I'm interested
Talk about experiences, pitfalls to avoid, local scene gripes, pitfalls you've seen other people fall into, differences between working in the mainstream vs. the underground, invaluable skills you've had to lean on, etc.
it's the jews
Are the music industries for indies/underground completely different/separate from the majors? Or is that not the case and wishful thinking?
Does anyone on here actually make music for a living?
Came real close to signing a deal with a subsidiary of Universal once. Even had a contract and lawyers and all that stuff lined up. Then my guitarists got into a fist fight over who wrote what. The band crumbled and we lost the contract.
What is some punk rock that is relevant to the seismic cultural shifts of the modern 21C?
Dadrock like Dead Kennedys and Black Flag need not apply
