> Completely lost interest in music
I would say "music for this feel", but yeah music doesn't appeal to me anymore. No genre sparks my interests anymore, and I've left the house every day for the past month without my headphones. Maybe I'll read books during my commute instead.

oh what a silly meme!
why can't people understand that being objective is not about being good or bad, because those words have no fixed meaning
oh but people who discuss this kind of thing are always so one-dimensional that they will never understand art...

the bug is stating what the cyclops said in a more eloquent manner. the ideas aren't opposed to each other. why is this a thread?
I showed this to my friends a week ago while we were getting high and they said it was one of the greatest experiences they've ever had. Anything that can compare?

>>70926077
I just listened to this for the first time as well. 5 Years is easily the best song on the album tbqh senpai.
Hey guy from other thread, this is an album that uses the accordion that doesn't suck.

Should the fact that Led Zeppelin stole so much of their music be held against them or not? Do they deserve less credit for their work for doing so? What do you think?
They didn't steal, they covered.
>>70926169
It's not a cover if you change the songwriting credits to yourself
>>70925917
I don't hold the blues songs against them but taking credit for stuff like Stairway to Heaven and Dazed and Confused which had originated with their less-successful contemporaries was a very low thing to do imo.
>"muh indie rock lost it, man. Things were better in 2009"
Why don't these old farts just shut the hell up and let the kids handle music like it's supposed to be?! You know why hip hop is so relevant, because it isn't as reverent as rock music. For some reason Arcade Fire, The National, Fleet Foxes, Father John Misty, St. Vincent, and all these other old pieces of shit still get shoved down our throats daily by Pitchfork, Stereogum, Consequence of Sound, etc., even though they are nowhere near relevant, nor do they reflect any of what is going on sonically in the music world today.
Those artists are actually good though and hip-hop is gay
Indie rock did lose it but it was way before 2009. So much modern indie rock is by people who don't even really like rock music, so we end up with shit like Arcade Fire and Mac DeMarco.

indie is pathetic. whites pretending to be subversive or counterculture regardless of the fact that white representation is inherently propogation of white supremacy. fuck indie.
ive discovered more music i like from a month on /mu/ than years without it. How did you find music before /mu/?
pic related
Friends, radio, parents' collection
Ultimately /mu/ helped me get started but since a lot of the same stuff is parroted here it's hard to branch out. Discog/genre charts are cool though

I don't know. Joni Mitchell is far more talented in every aspect.

Try again son
One of my favorite niches in music is music that's extremely noisy but has beautiful melodies underneath. Does anybody have some recs for this sort of music? Avoid genre namedropping, just post good albums that fall under this umbrella.

Is the harp the most sexist instrument ever made?
You never see guys playing it.
I went to school with the bloke that plays harp for Florence + The Machine.
You can't be sexist against guys just like you can't be racist against whites.
No, the knob keyboard, an instrument I've just invented, is. It's a keyboard you play by hitting it with your knob.
